Jay-Z Says Hammer Will Be 'Embarrassed' When His Book Comes Out

Jay-Z isn't taking MC Hammer's dis video 'Better Run Run' too seriously. The 'U Can't Touch This' rapper slams Jay-Z in the recent video, accusing him of being an impostor who swiped his "swagger."

The video was in response to Jay-Z's verse in a new Kanye West song, 'So Appalled,' where he referred to Hammer's notorious money troubles during the '90s. But Jay-Z sounded incredulous in a British radio interview (via the NY Daily News). "I didn't know that [topic] wasn't on the table for discussion."

He also says that he only has nice things to say about the legend and does so in his book 'Decoded.'

"He's going to be embarrassed, I said some really great things about him in the book ... It is what it is. He took it the wrong way." 'Decoded' hits stores Nov. 16.

Earlier in the week, Jay-Z made his political aspirations know, saying, "Give me a chance, maybe in eight years, I'll be the president."

i honestly think mc hammer is a joke. of all people he goes after jay? how many people diss hammer about is money issues over the past years? i heard some this year...so my question is what is he trying to do, and what does he hope to get out of it? i think what he did was shamed is family once again. lol

Jay Z is ridiculous. The fact that he's even speaking about running for president is bogus. MC Hammer was having fun in his earlier vids and rappers like Jay Z who want to do gangsta rap took that fun away. So MC is doing is best to stay current. I saw the video about 3 days' ago and I hate it. MC should just make the music he used to make: dance rap. 2L2Q was awesome and coordinated. Can't say the same for hip hop videos today.

Hammer is the real O.G. Just because Jay-Z has the money to say and do almost anything he wants to do, do not make it right to down grade, talk or rap bad about other people. That's why I stop listen to Rap because they only rap about money, sex, drugs and power. And it give the young people of today(Like Me) a false sense of reality, Really how many black young men do you real think will own their own airplanes and cruise boat in this life time. Yet Jay-Z along with the other rapper rap this B.S. into our live everyday. And because we contiue to buy thier CD's and 200 dollar a tickets to their shows they only get richer and we as a people stay right were we are. They dog out anybody they want to. It is said "Money is power" and most of the rapper sure knows how to abuse it......I am 17 years old and I have a realistic goal in mind...like finishing school.
