Report: 'Bachelorette' Star Julien Hug Committed Suicide

Julien Hug, a former contestant on 'The Bachelorette,' was
found dead Wednesday along a scenic southern California highway, Hug's father, Bertrand Hug, confirmed.
Although authorities are "handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected,"
RadarOnline reports that Hug, 35, shot himself in the head.
David Good, a contestant on the show during the same season as Hug and author of 'The Man Code,' was stunned by the tragic news. "I'm shocked to hear about these suspicions of suicide. Julien seemed like a motivated guy, which would have never lead me to believe that he'd resort to this. He seemed goal oriented and not the kind of man to give up!" Good told
PopEater exclusively.
"My thoughts and prayers go out to Julien's family. I speak on behalf of myself and the entire group from our season of 'The Bachelorette,' that he great standup guy. Julien was always the first to offer to cook food in the house and the one to offer up one of his 'funny' jokes that were entirely too long but hilarious nonetheless. He will truly be missed," Good added.
Tom Ulrich, also a friend of Hug, exclusively told
RadarOnline: "I'm completely in shock. When my FBI friends told me Julien shot himself in the head, I fell to my knees in disbelief."
Sheriff's Sgt. Joe Borja says Hug's body was found in the remote Pinyon Pines area off State Route 74. Sheriff's Deputy Melissa Nieburger told the
press that the body was found in an area that "you would need to hike into."
An official cause of death is pending a coroner's investigation.
The county is home to the Joshua Tree National Park and the Coachella Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
A missing person's report was filed for Hug on Monday. He was last seen leaving San Diego for Palm Desert, where his parents own a restaurant.
Hug was a contestant on the ABC show in May 2009.

I think that this does not belong in the media period. This man appeared on a "reality" tv show. He was not a public figure. This should not be news, and his family should be allowed privacy. Jeez Louise!!!!I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agegapsingl es.c 'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends.. Just love it
Go Away TROLL!!!!
A man dies, and these idiots are hocking their website...F**king bastards.........
Did he appear on the bachelorette or the bachelor? I could see him on either.
I remember when the show would just eliminate a contestant. Now they shoot the losers. I wonder if this will catch on with other game shows.
Kiss my What?
He was such a handsome guy and had a very loving family. So sad that he decided to take his own life. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Henry, seriously? A family is grieving and you have to be this insensitive? To paraphrase a quote: It is better to remain silent and be thought a repugnent human being than speak than to speak and remove all doubt.
Henry you are a pitiful moron. (You might want to learn English too).
FOLKS, PLEASE EXCUSE HENRY, HE SUFFERS FROM SEVERE STUPIDITY AND A POOR CONTROL OF PROPER ENGLISH...
Henry, you mean you "would Have", not "would OF". Dummy.
Henry.. Don't worry. They only allow literate people to participate on the show.
If only you could speak English.
Henry, it is people like you that always reminds me that morons lurk around us.
YOU ARE AN A.. HOLE!
There is no "would of" "should of" "must of." It's:
Would have
Should have
Must have
Also, you should not have (not of!) used "did."
It should be, "Would have done..."
Idiot..
Henry, I'm with you. I accidently came across this show while changing the channels and almost slit my wrists.
