'Dancing With the Stars' Seeking Same-Sex Couple

When the Israeli edition of 'Dancing With The Stars' confirmed it would feature its first-ever same-sex couple, the outpouring of media attention caught the eye of the producers of the American version. Now, sources tell me the US edition of the worldwide dance phenomenon is actively looking to do the same.

"The show is definitely looking for a trick for its next edition that will go up against 'American Idol,'" a 'Dancing' insider tells me. "What better than to have a same-sex couple dancing together? That would certainly get more press than even Jennifer Lopez could drum up."

It's true the show does know a thing or two about stunt casting. Learning from recent stars Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin, the producers have seen first hand how a casting controversy can bring in the viewers.

"Nothing would be as sensational as two beautiful women dancing together," a TV expert tells me. "Two men would be less accepted as two gorgeous ladies, that is why the producers' first choice is Portia de Rossi, who is married to Ellen DeGeneres."

Although Portia has not been approached yet with the idea, several sources close with casting tell me it's one name that keeps coming up over and over again.

"Portia is perfect because she is openly gay and happily married to her wife, who happens to be one of America's most loved celebrities," a source tells me. "She is not controversial like Rosie and would be an inspiration to gay teens throughout the country."

I think it's genius!

As the Bible says, In the later days people will consider good evil, and evil good. I believe we are in the later days and all I can say is God have mercy on those who think homosexuality is not a sin.

YOU WERE NOT BORN THAT WAY! You have a choice to not sin, you will not enter the kingdom on heaven! and...I don't really care what any of you think because God said it and I believe it. God is not old fashion. His Word is alive and His Word is just as alive and valid as it was 2000 years ago.

For those of you who don't have the guts to read God's Word and actually see what it says you are closed minded, bigots!!

For those of us who do not belong to your cult, the bible is meaningless. Your interpretation is not shared by all christians.

Unlike religion, being gay is not a choice. "Christian" groups like Exodus make millions promoting the myth that being gay is changeable, but produce absolutely no evidence that they have ever changed anyone.

As a gay, atheist, American citizen, I have the right to ignore what your book says. I am an atheist BECAUSE I have read your silly book, and seen its contradictions and lies.

As for this show, I knew they would go for two women--if they go through with it at all. The show reeks of adolescent sexuality; just look at the insane outfits the women are subjected to. Two men dancing would just freak out their childish little minds.

How dare you call me a close minded bigot because I do NOT believe what you do. I have read your bible, and I worked for a preacher for about 6 years. I have used my open mind to decide that your bible and your believes are not for me. What I do believe is that all people deserve love, and happiness no matter their sexual orientation, race, or whatever reason they are different. People like you disgust me. You say you follow the bible but all you do is spew hate. I hope that you have a child or grand child who is gay then you will learn the truth behind it. That is not a choice, it is how some people are born.

Love when people use man made religion to define GOD, before the Christian god it had the Egyptian God for over 4000 yrs , and after that the Roman Gods for over 1000yr it is always the same god just change the names and cruelty of people judging others..GOD is love he doesn't hate or judge anyone, we do!!! Have you thought that maybe your religion is the false religion????let's be honest if point fingers and throw the first stone how can you call yours el Christ follower??(remember he was the one against the church and temples of that time and he never taught anyone in a church but in small groups of no more than seven people, and his words was "love each other")

The churches of the world are wrong...It is so easy to see this.
Those people saying men should not sleep with men, as with women should realise that this does not hold true for homosexuals, but to heterosexuals, since gay men don't sleep with women. Hetero men should not sleep with men..For them it is natural. But not for Homosexuals..Every bible I have read says basically the same thing but the word homosexual was never in the bible since it was not a word during biblical time. Homosexual, the word, became a word in or around 1865, thus changing the word is sin, as it says in Revelation.

The Bible also speaks about false prophets, particularly in the Last Days. You purport to speak for God on this subject and lay judgment on those you dislike, both of which are against Biblical teaching. Doesn't that make you a false prophet?

I support your right to believe whatever ridiculous interpretation you have twisted out of your reading of the Bible to validate your own personal biases. Just stop trying to ram it down everybody else's throats.

When the Bible is read in the way it was meant to be interpreted in ancient times when it was written, it shows that people such as you are the true Sodomites for your lack of charity and hospitality.

I agree whole heartedly Helena, thats why I dont get all worked up about it the people that think being gay is not wrong wont be in heaven with us unless they repent and accept Jesus.

But I do resent hollywood pushing this crap down our throats and posioning our kids with their form of morality. I wont be watching this ahow anymore if they do this nor allow my children to view it.
