Why Kendra Wilkinson Really Moved Back to LA

You can't put a southern California girl in the snowy Midwest for too long. After living in Indianapolis last winter with NFL wide receiver husband Hank Baskett and their now 11-month-old son Hank IV, Kendra Wilkinson had to say no to a second season of snow.

When the E! reality TV star learned her handsome hubby had signed with the Minnesota Vikings, she had to put her foot down.
"Kendra has been an amazing wife and mom, but she had to make a real adjustment in her life and career last year to live in Indianapolis when Hank signed with the Colts," a source close to Kendra tells PopEater. "Now, he is with Minnesota, which is so cold, remote and far away from LA. She had to make a decision despite having disagreements with Hank about it."

So Wilkinson and baby Hank are living in LA, where she can promote her projects, exercise outside, lay in the sun, run on the beach and be near her family.

Although Wilkinson met some great people in Indianapolis and Philadelphia, where Baskett had signed with the Eagles, neither city made her feel as happy and fulfilled as Los Angeles.

"When Kendra's girlfriends came to visit her in Indianapolis, it was hard for them to find somewhere cool to go," says the source. "There are many great restaurants and lots of shops. But for a girl's night out, nothing came close to what Kendra loves about Los Angeles and Las Vegas."

While busy with the baby and her life in Los Angeles, Wilkinson misses her husband. She told Life & Style, "Not having him around hurts".

Wilkinson says she plans to take Hank IV to Minnesota for Thanksgiving, his first birthday on Dec.11 and Christmas.

"Their marriage will be stronger because of the distance," the source says.

Ugh, these critics are just awful, the man has to work - he is busy, anyway. I think this is the best decision. Stay in LA, fly back and forth, if the love is so great, this is no threat to your marriage. Tabloids and bs are the real threat. The thing that hurts relationships is when people give up "everything" for each other and build up resentments. Being glued at the hip is no guarantee of fidelity and lifelong happiness. Spending time apart to reflect, and really enjoying each other when you have a chance is much better. This is the land of the co-dependent, and after 20 years of sticking together many are unhappy in sexless or loveless marriages anyway. Enjoy life, enjoy your hot husband and screw all of these critics...

I was going to type the exact thing--self absorbed--and thinking of herself and not her child. That little boy is without his father until Thanksgiving. Disgusting. She has the type of career where she can make it work. People living in the real world with 9-5 jobs sacrifice much more than this bimbo to keep their family together. The couple look very good together. But! alone, each will attract others who are alone, and then we know what will happen. I do not wish bad moments for Kendra, but she is showing the world that places like Pure Nightclub and Las Vegas Strip, more time with friends and new acquaintances, and a seething whorishness and intense vanity, are more important than being a good wholesome mother or wife. For this reason, and because Kendra does not cherish her status as wife of a decent, loving father and devoted husband, I believe she has no hope to keep a healthy marraige for very long. Sorry Kendra, you deserve it!

I think a good solution for this family might be for them to have a "permanent" home in L.A., and have a nice, roomy apt./condo in Minnesota. When Hank has an opportunity, he could gladly go "home" for awhile. If Kendra's schedule allowed, she and Hank Jr. could go spend as much time as they could in MN...without living out of a suitcase if she left enough wardrobe and personal items there! I understand that she has a 11 month old boy, and they've moved how many times in the past year??? I think that if you were constantly living out of boxes and raising a child at the same time, you might lighted up your angry, critical, opinions. STOP HATING, PEOPLE! And forecasting a divorce is sooo toxic! Leave this family alone to work out their challenge. They're good together.

Stop with the self absorbing ways of "it's all about me", Kendra. Your husband is a 2nd string player, and will be shipped to a different team every yr. If you really want to stay together as a couple and have your son spend time with his dad, pick a "base" in L.A. and keep an apt. in whatever town Hank's team is located in. Exposing your son to winter fun could be healthy. By the way, it may not be L.A. or Vegas (2 places I love but wouldn't want to live), but my girlfriends and I have no trouble finding cool enough places to have fun in Indianapolis. Maybe there's just too much "reality" in some of these other cities for you - ha!
