How Much Actual Michael Jackson Is in New Song?

Several members of
Michael Jackson's family are sick to their stomachs over 'Breaking News,' a just-released track featuring highly produced vocals that the late icon's nephews are calling "fake," "shady" and "not him."
"I will not support 'Breaking News' and a few others [off the album] because it simply is not him," Taryll Jackson, son of the singer's brother Tito, wrote on
Twitter.
Much of the song features multiple vocal tracks, making it hard to pinpoint where Jackson is, but the opening line has a single, arguably weak and shaky, voice.
Listen to It Here
"Everybody wanting a piece of Michael Jackson, reporters stalking the moves of Michael Jackson, just when you thought he was done, he comes to give again," the lyric goes, over a bouncy drum and guitar line.
Without saying which parts of the song he thinks were altered, Taryll reveals he isn't alone in believing something's amiss.
"I KNOW my Uncle's voice and something's seriously wrong when you have immediate FAMILY saying it's not him," he writes, later adding, "Sounding like Michael Jackson and BEING Michael Jackson are two different things."
TJ Jackson, another son of Tito's,
calls the track a sham and criticizes Sony for pushing the single, which he claims was not a priority of Michael's.
"There's many MJ vocal impersonators. Some better than others. But there is only ONE Michael Jackson. Deceptively merging shady vocals with MJ samples (from prior MJ records) will never fool me. Why they would ignore the obvious, look the other way and rush a suspicious track that was NEVER on my Uncle's radar is beyond me. I'm disgusted, disappointed and saddened."
Even Jackson's sister, LaToya, has weighed in, telling
TMZ, "That doesn't sound like him."
Responding to the controversy, Sony said in its statement that it had "complete confidence in the results of our extensive research, as well as the accounts of those who were in the studio with Michael, that the vocals on the new album are his own."

The beat seems like something Michael would put together, but as the lyrics I don't believe MJ would write them. RIP Kng of Pop will always remain in my heart.

I agree. That is not all MJ. Could be a mix of MJ and someone else. I guess if there's money to be made; dead or alive, people are going to keep trying to make it.
That's definetely not michael J. period! It is hard to see which is Michael or not. Bull!!!!!!!! Not buying it. Even though I love you MJ!

It is impossible to fall out of love. Love is such a powerful emotion, that once it envelops you it does not depart. True love is eternal. If you think that you were once in love, but fell out of it, then it wasn't love you were in. There are no 'exit' signs in love, there is only an 'on' ramp. Lots of my friends found their lovers through the service. You may have a try... ;)
Not Michael J. I love Michael and listened to him sine his first album. Do they did think they will fool us. I know his voice and I don't he would write something like this. The beat sounds like him but I don't know. Love ya MJ!

Let the dead man rest in peace, stop exploiting him, and spare the rest of us from having to think/hear about him ever again. Kthxbai.

I've been listening to Michael since he was a little boy and that's not him. It's shame that someone would put out a song to make money on when it's not the original artist.

Michael would NEVER talk about himself in the third person...If he has a problem, he would sing "I have a problem...", not Michael Jackson has a problem...
And he he has stronger vocal range than this...they just edited a bunch of voices to muddle it...
Sorry Sony...I wont buy this album...

At best it sounds like an 8track of MJ with 3 tracks missing... NOT MJ IMO...
MJ was nothing if not a professional performer, and this recording just doesn't sound like a professional sang it, or recorded it...

That voice is missing soul. The song's missing real lyrics. Even the background vocals sound "off". All the Jacksons have a velvety way their voices melt together in the background. That voice was just rough. There is no way that's Michael Jackson. I agree with T.J., Michael Jackson had no reason to speak of himself in the 3rd person - it's just silly! RIP MJ.

It sounds like a beat that MJ would use, but the lyrics and the voice are deffinetly NOT his.nI've been listening to his music for a year or so, and even I can tell it's not his. There's no real power, or message behind the song. When you heard him sing, you could feel the emotion behind it. This...eh. It's ok, the impersonator did an ok job. But a distinctive voice such as Michael's can't be mistaken. Its sickening how someone has the nerve to just go ahead and try to replace the king of pop! Anything for money. Now this record lable is gonna make so much money off of somthing that is lacking the magic and talent that MJ has given people since he was young. Anything for the money people, don't buy into it.
R.I.P. Michael Jackson!
Never replaced, never forgotten.

If this was MJ and he had recordings made prior to his death, doesn't it stand to reason he would have released them? Due to the fact that he was in financial ruin at the time of his death.
He would have released them for the proceeds!

Anyone who has been around Michael Jackson in the last 5 years minimum in a recording studio or someone who is immediate family or someone who has listened to his songs for all of their lives can clearly tell that it's NOT Michael Jackson singing on that song.
With someone like Michael Jackson, with such a unique, distinct vocal style, you KNOW his voice when you hear it. In addition, the overall track and background vocal thickness and richness is not Michael's standard quality. Even on the song “Tabloid Junkie” from the HIStory album where you can’t even understand what he’s saying on the verse, you know it’s Michael Jackson singing.
Yes there are a couple of sampled "ooooohs" in the new song that are Michael's but that's it.
The fact that Sony has released a statement standing behind this 100% is a travesty and speaks volumes to the fact that the one’s responsible for overseeing the quality and protecting the integrity of this project are no damn good at what they do and should resign immediately.
Sony doesn't give a damn about Michael Jackson and that's why he had a problem with them.
But again, that corny track "Breaking News" is NOT Michael Jackson singing the lead. Ask anyone who TRULY knows. Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, His Brothers, Janet, Smokey, Stevie Wonder, Rodney Jerkins, Bruce Swedeen, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis...anyone who really knows what the hell they're talking about.

If this is THE E'Casanova, MJ impersonator extraordinaire and solid MJ friend and supporter, you are spot on, and I feel you are a good verification source who knew the man himself very well, from what I have read. If this entire mess is true, you are correct that the executors should RESIGN; Michael's estate would be NO worse off with Joe Jackson running the show, IMO.
NO not MJ NO NO NO
