Young Hollywood Storms Forbes List of Rich Women
Oprah Winfrey still reigns at the top of Forbes' list of Hollywood's highest-earning women, but closely following are younger Hollywood staples
Beyonce,
Britney Spears and
Lady Gaga, who round out the top four in the annual rankings.
According to
Forbes, half the list is under the age of 30. For the first time, youth trumps experience on the annual list with stars as young as
Miley Cyrus and
Taylor Swift among the most successful of 2010.
Oprah easily remains on top with $315 million and out-earned everyone, male or female. Beyonce gave the talk show host the most competition, comng in second with an estimated $87 million in the last year. While Beyonce's collection of endorsement deals, fashion line and debut fragrance contributed to her haul; it was her 32-country, six-continent 'I Am...' tour that earned her the most cash.
The ever-controversial Lady Gaga was fourth on the list with an income of $62 million, most of which came from her 106-date 'Monster Ball' tour that grossed over $100 million. She has also proven a marketer's dream, teaming up with Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Monster Cable and Viva Glam.
Miley Cyrus is eighth on the list with $48 million; tying for ninth place are Judge Judy and Taylor Swift.
Swift, the most-played artist on the radio in 2009, made $45 million, and sold over
1 million copies of her new album, 'Speak Now,' in just one week.

The fact that Miley Cyrus is one of the richest women in the industry is a sad statement for Hollywood. It certainly wasn't talent that got her there.
