Demi Lovato Doing Well in Rehab, Coping With Boyfriend's Death

While rumors have been swirling about the reason for Demi Lovato's recent admission to rehab, one thing is for sure -- she's on the mend.

Recent reports alleging that the star is suffering from a cocaine addiction have been shot down by her rep, who says, "Demi Lovato is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction,"

The Disney star's father, Patrick, tells Radar Online that Demi is "doing great" in treatment, calling his daughter "such a strong girl."

Lovato, who is receiving treatment for "emotional and physical issues," which some sources have identified as cutting and body image issues, has also reportedly been mourning the loss of her boyfriend, who died in a tubing accident.

Demi's former flame, Texas-based musician David Osborn, drowned in July, only seven months after the two had met at a party.

"She was really heartbroken. She was really in love with the guy," says her father.

Patrick Lovato went on to say that his daughter is "getting better" and that, despite their previous estrangement, the two are on speaking terms once again.

"She told me she loved me, she really loves her daddy," he recalls of a recent phone call.

As for her plans when she gets out, the elder Lovato says, "I've offered to let Demi come and stay here any time she wants to."

Well, first off.... Patrick Lovato, Demi's father shouldn't be saying anything! They haven't been in contact for like over 2 years, so any information from him should be thrown out instantly.
Secondly, any "father" who is going to tell what they "think" is going on with their daughter to get some sort of payment or just to get attention, shouldn't be a "father"!
Thirdly, I say again, don't believe what you hear from a "father" who walked out on his daughter when she was 2 and hasn't been a big part of her life nor had contact with her for quite awhile!
And last but definitely not the least...
This next quote is straight from Dallas Lovato, Demi's sister: Let me just clear the air right now. Demi has not spoken to our "father" in a long time. He has NO contact with Demi.
