Gwyneth Paltrow's live singing debut at last night's CMAs was met with rave reviews, and it's no wonder -- she had some of the music industry's biggest names helping her out.The 'Country Strong' star, who performed the film's titular track at the event, told Access Hollywood, "I asked Faith [Hill] a lot of questions ... and Beyonce actually too. I studied Beyonce a lot and her concerts for her kind of confidence."
Paltrow, who performs four songs on the film's soundtrack, was praised by fellow musicians, including CMA co-host and Entertainer of the Year recipient Brad Paisley, who said of the star, "She looked like she's been doing this her whole life ... When did she find time to go out and learn how to be a singer? I'm floored!"

can she sing with her eyes open? and she doesn't have a remarkable voice, nice around a camp fire maybe, but that's about it.

She's a fabulous actress, a natural beauty, and has a wonderful singing voice. Loved her performance. Bravo Gwyneth!

Another display of arrogance and elitism. Most singers pay their dues singing in clubs, parties, going from town to town to make a reputation, getting a thousand rejections before getting any break whatsoever. And here is this actress, who got her break in acting from her mother, stepping on stage ahead of a hundred more talented, versatile performances. We've developed a cult of performing royalty in this country and it's hurt our ability to produce any worthwhile art for the last 50 years.
