Jessica Simpson 'Happy' For Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo

Most women would have mixed feelings about their ex getting remarried, but Jessica Simpson is nothing but thrilled about ex-husband Nick Lachey's engagement to Vanessa Minnillo.

While various media outlets have reported Simpson was hurt by the news of Lachey's engagement, she sang a different tune on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Us Weekly reports that Simpson told Seacrest, "I don't know where all those rumors came from ... I couldn't be more happy for Nick."

Simpson, who is currently dating former NFL player Eric Johnson, split from Lachey in 2005 after 3 years of marriage.

The singer told Seacrest, "Our relationship was over a really long time ago, and it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa."

"I am extremely, extremely happy for him," Simpson said. "I really wish them nothing but the best."

Why is "Us Weekly" reporting what was said on a radio show? I guess no one was listening. Why? Because nobody cares? As usual, this garbage is taking up space that could probably be better served by actual news.
