Duggar Family 'Excited' Another Baby Is on the Way

The Duggar clan just keeps growing. Josh Duggar, eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, whose family is the focus of TLC's '19 Kids and Counting,' and his wife Anna will welcome their second child next year. Anna announced the news during their daughter Mackynzie's first birthday party on Oct. 8.
"I showed Josh the positive pregnancy test on Mackynzie's birthday," Anna told
PEOPLE. "It was fun to announce it to everyone on that already happy day."
"We are so excited about the new expansion to our family," says '19 Kids and Counting' patriarch Jim Bob.
The exciting Duggar baby news comes after Anna suffered a miscarriage this summer.
"Josh was a big encouragement to me. It helped us go through the heartbreak to learn that 30 or 40 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. That was comforting in some ways," she said.
For now, they are basking in the great news and admit they plan to continue growing their family. The couple have agreed to leave the number of children they have "up to God," as Jim Bob and Michelle do.

I an really sick of this family producing like wild animals and this is glorified on TV. TLC get new shows and not about these people.

I second that!
R E A D before you speak. It's the eldest son and his wife expecting their second child after a miscarriage.
They are a wonderful family. If you've ever watched the show you can just see that they are all so nice and respectable. They have a right to have as many children as they want, as long as they take care of them and can support them - which they do. Congratulations to the Duggars!
Jealous???
We need somebody to bring family values back to TV.
I totally agree with you Debbie. Mommy and daddy Duggar went too far with 19 kids and now their eldest son wants to follow in their footsteps because it's "up to God"? Seriously?! As a woman, I can only imagine the toll it takes on the body being pregnant most of your fertile years. Are they rabbits or something? There are tons of women trying to conceive but can't but the Duggars are popping babies out like Pez dispensers!! Most importantly, it's not fair to the kids that the parents cannot offer adequate personal attention because there's so many other kids!! It's SICK and I swear they belong to a cult!
Congrats to the Duggar Family! Love your show and love your families!

I don't think Josh and Anna will go nuts like his parents. having 19 kids. MAybe 4 or 5 . I hope they realize children are a blessing but sometimes you just have to be sensible.
I wish them well

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STERILIZED!!!!!!!!!

Intolerant bully families who raise intolerant bullies need to be sterilized. This family is loving & hard working. They bother no one & support themselves. What is your problem???
second this, they both need to be fixed.
If this was an unmarried black female having a baby as are 72% of their homes, would you be saying the same? My magic 8-ball says doubtful. If you are pro-choice, you MUST be pro-choice in the creation of families...unless you are the ultimate in hypocrite. Whites are actually the world minority anyway with a less than zero population growth rate.
Her uterus, HER BUSINESS
There is something terribly wrong with TLC in promoting this behavior. It is grossly disgusting what some people will do for money. DUGGARS THE BARN ANIMALS.

Actually, they were very self-supporting well before this series began. They are very shrewd and savvy business people. They are happy, their kids are respectful, both to them and others. They are not a burden to the taxpayers. Seriously, we all need to worry more about others that ARE a drain on this country.
They are mentally deranged

Congratulations. Family size is a personal choice. As long as you can provide for them and they are all cared for, I don't have any objections. Some people on here are so mean.

Has anyone heard of birth control. They are nuts to make over-population celebrity.

I am so glad there are still SOME people who do not look at children as a horrrible BURDEN and actually love them and follow God's plan for them. This size of family used to be the norm and low and behold EVERYONE was not insane of deranged. My guess is most of your mothers and fathers were from families of this size and if you look back, you would be quite happy the families were that big. I know I am!!! I'm the ninth child in a family of nine.
