Kathy Griffin: Why Does Charlie Sheen Have a Job?

Pick a hot button topic and you just know that Kathy Griffin will have a fun, slicing take on it. In the case of scandal-prone Charlie Sheen, the comedienne doesn't disappoint, telling PopEater she's convinced that if a woman had caused a similar ruckus (porn star escort, reported coke binge, cops called), "Her ass would have been fired a long time ago."

Speaking to us at Tuesday's opening night party for Colin Quinn's one-man Broadway show, 'Long Story Short,' Griffin calls it a matter of fairness. "How many average men or women could behave that way and keep their job?" she asked, before calling it "infuriating" that someone who "makes a million dollars an episode" on TV can get away with anything.

I stopped watching 2 1/2 men a couple yrs. ago. It's too bad that he ruined it for me, and for the life of me, I do not understand why he is still working. He is replaceable you know. Let's see, how many guys in Hollywood think they're HOT, think they can act, and could replace Charlie Sheen? Most of them, that's who. Just replace the guy, don't kill the show, replace Charlie. IDEas / It's easy: Neil Patrick Harris, how about Charlie's own brother, Emelio Estevez, Brendan Fraser (he'd be perfect! ), there are quite a few guys who are on soaps who would be fantastic too. Why is Charlie Sheen being given yet another chance? He knows he can get away with it and yet the show is enabling him to keep going. He doesn't deserve it. Replace Charlie Sheen. Keep the show going and it will probably give the show NEW life!

Charlie Sheen should be sent out to pasture. There is nothing he does in that show that someone else cant do. His private life sucks and his behavior is less than impressive. Please get rid of him and find someone else. No one should earn the money that he makes for a mediocre tv show. He is hardly amodel citizen.

I agree with Kathy 100%. And this goes for all the talent out there who waste what God gave them but blowing it up their nose or shooting it up their arms. If they risked being fired and banned from working where they make ridiculous amounts of money maybe they would take their jobs more seriously and realize how lucky they are to have been given the break of a lifetime.

Good question. Only because charlie is making tons of money for the NET WORK its self. Its not because charlie is so funny, or talented, its because of hundreds of people, the writers, the actors, the prop workers,ect.. The industry its self is making tons of money every day, all because the show is famous in many countries.
Its not all because of charlie, its because theres money to be made for everyone involved.
Charlies behavior will not get him hired any where else for some time after this show goes off. And everyone else knows it, including charlie him self.

Again, people charlie sheen continues to have a job in Hollywood is simply because he is white. There is a double standard in Hollywood and Charlie Sheen is the perfect example. This dude is a menace to women, yet CBS awarded him a new contract, really, CBS. Again, Charlie Sheen is white, therefore, hollywood turns the other eye.
