Insider: Sarah Palin 'Obsessed' With Making Bristol a 'Dancing' Champ

Amazingly, Bristol Palin has hoofed her way through another week on ABC's monster hit 'Dancing With the Stars,' and it's not because of her less-than-stellar footwork, it's thanks to her famous mom's campaigning.

"Sarah is determined make Bristol the winner of the show. Whatever it takes," an insider tells me. "She's become obsessed with it, as if it were the election all over again, except this time a Palin will be the winner."

The former governor's determination is no secret and has caught the attention of many politically-minded sites, including The Daily Beast, which wondered this week if a vast right-wing conspiracy is underway to make sure Bristol stays put. The site points out that conservative activist and Palin supporter Tammy Bruce tweeted, "Operation Bristol waltzes in tonight! As #DWTS starts vote at abc.go.com Tweeps pls tweet phone info, will RT."

There's nothing like firing up Sarah's loyal fan base to keep her daughter dancing!

"Sarah is making it very clear that she wants Bristol to win," a show insider tells me, adding that Palin is tickled by the idea of taking votes away from the more "Hollywood liberal types" on the show.

"This is her chance to get even and show all those Democrats that a regular girl with conservative values and common sense" can win it all.

Just a few days ago, Sarah reminded her 295,942 Twitter followers what a great girl Bristol is. "From youth football team, shop class & commercial fishing to Final 5 on Dancing W T Stars, we're proud of Bristol's courage, grace & diversity!"

If this pro-Bristol campaign wins out, America just may see the mirror ball trophy in the White House someday!

I am losing respect for DWTS. I thought that some talent would be included in making a decision. If it is just for a fan base, why not condense the show to one time. I can see a popular show going down the tube. Let's revive the show for what it is meant to be. PLEASE! Bristol Palin has to go. The dancers that were taken off the show were far better and nicer personalities than her. Enough of this farce!

This is one of your more asinine articles. You have totally fabricated the actions of Sarah Palin. She hasn't, nor could she, sway the American vote. Bristol is only "horrible" in the eyes of Palin or 'conservative' haters. Certainly she's getting many votes from Palin supporters, but there are others; teen girls and guys, dance enthusiasts who see potential, others who simply don't like the other contestants. Look at the many years of AI where we saw people stay (Sanjaya, Blake) based on factors other than ability and star potential. Learn how to live without blinders and venom, people - your life will be so much more fruitful.

She can't dance, why isn't she voted off? If she wins the show will go down the tubes. There are better dancers that got voted off because HER MOTHER is buying votes, not fair to the better dancers. Is anyone familiar with the story of Gypsy Rose Lee and June Havoc - a/k/a Rose Louise and Baby June? Mama Rose was the epitome of the stage mother and even though toned down for the movie and broadway productions, Mama Rose was an obsessed, driven, and initimidaing figure. On her death bed she shreiked and screamed at the two sisters that "I wish I could take both of you with me!!".

Like everyone else, I've believed that politics has played a Major Role in keeping Bristol 'dancing' and we know whose politics!

C'mon already, Sarah/Mama Rose, give it a break and let people win the normal way - by talent and hard work.

Oh never mind, La Palin doesn't think that way and if there is criticism, then God help those who criticize.

Perhaps it would be a good thing to "Let Bristol Win". Then if the show wants to continue, they will have to change the method winners are picked. Perhaps give the real Dancing Judges most of the power and the call in voters, a small amount.

So many absolutely stupid people blasting Sarah Palin for NO reason except that the paranoid lying leftests are so afraid of her that that have tried their best to distroy her. This sends the message that rigging a contest is okay (the typical conservative pragmatic view) Also, who's mimding Bristol's kid while she makes's a fool of herself week after week.
