John Travolta 'Can't Wait to Meet' Son Benjamin

John Travolta will become a father again any day now, telling Extra, "I can't wait to meet Benjamin."

In Australia for a piloting event, Travolta, 56, said wife Kelly Preston, 48, was going into "fake labor" before he left.

"She was having what they call Braxton Hicks, the fake labor, and we were both a little worried. But then the doctor said to drink more water, more liquids and that stops that," Travolta said. "I think she just had a little talk with Ben and said, 'Look, let's wait till Dad comes home and deliver then.' But I'm ready to go at any minute; if she started having labor now we would just leave and take 22 hours to get home, but I'd get there."

Travolta said his wife's due date is Nov. 26.

Baby Benjamin will board his first airplane "probably within two weeks of his birth," Travolta said, to spend Christmas at the family's home in Maine.

Travolta also confirmed he would be acting again by next year. "I've taken two years off, and I am glad I did, and now I'm ready to go back. I needed to take a break, for many reasons. Probably by fall, you'll see me on the big screen again."

Did anyone else find it a little scary, i.e. selfish, that he would attend some pilot event half way around the world when his wife is so close to her due date? Also, does he really think he could "get there" when a return flight takes 22 hours? All this story told me was that it seemed attending a pilot event was more important to him than attending the birth of this child.
