LeAnn Rimes' Ex, Dean Sheremet, Makes Wedding Plans with New Fiancee

Dean Sheremet is the onetime backup dancer -- now a chef at New York hot spot Nobu 57 -- who married country singer LeAnn Rimes in 2002 and divorced her earlier this year, after news broke that his wife had fallen in love with married actor Eddie Cibrian during a 2008 TV movie shoot.

With months of sordid headlines behind him, Sheremet is officially moving on. The 29-year-old has just gotten engaged to his live-in girlfriend, fashion photographer Sarah Silver. The two are planning a summer wedding, according to Us.

Rimes' ex reportedly popped the question to his 28-year-old fiancee Friday morning, presenting her with a three-carat, antique 1950's ring.

"She is an amazing, talented woman," Sheremet told Us readers in July about his new love, a few weeks after his divorce was finalized. "We have a lot in common and we are both very happy."

And LeAnn Rimes, via Twitter, says she has nothing but happiness for them.

'Congrats to @deansheremet and @sarah_silver on your engagement!' she tweeted on Saturday. 'A little birdie told me the happy news last night. Best Wishes for a life full of happiness.'

Rimes, 28, recently denied that she and the newly divorced Cibrian, who now live together, are engaged to wed.

Don't think its coincidence he is announcing his engagement before his ex. Surprised its a woman though. Wow these people don't waste time do they? Not even divorced a year and bam newly engaged-will it last? Not a chance.

Sue, that's great. I was little worried that nobody ever seems to go to bat for the cheaters in the world. My ex "needed time", and told me she was moving back in with her mother. This is too fast...maybe Dean has had someone on the sidelines the whole time. Ever thought of that? He may have been the one all this time cheating. But nope, everyone is quick to blame and point the finger at Rimes.

Would it surprise you to know that John McCain's present wife was his mistress? Or that Joann Woodward was Paul Newman's mistress? Some cheater marriages DO last a lifetime.

I do see the logic in both of your statements, however, maybe he has a better chance at making a relationship last with this person. After all they have been low-key about their relationship and it hasn't been in your face like his ex's. His future bride doesn't seem to be a news hog like his ex. LeAnn even had to get into the story by sending a tweet. I thought she was giving up tweets. I wonder if he really cared what she thinks about anything. Anyway, no respect for the ex, and best of luck to him and his future bride.

I think they were married in name only for a long time, just didn't get divorced. Hope he is happy. Hope LeAnn is too. But it is true, so many Hollywood types, married or just living together, jump out of bed and immediately find another one to jump in bed with. Maybe if they waited a while, took their time, really got to know someone their relationships would last longer.
