Billy Ray Cyrus Flips Out Over Divorce Questions

Although Miley Cyrus' parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia "Tish" Cyrus are getting divorced, the 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer does not want to talk about it. The country star stormed out of an interview with radio host Woody Johnson on Friday morning when the DJ asked him about the status of his marriage.

"I have to ask you because you are a celebrity and we've all heard. Your marriage is going?" said Johnson, who hosts WCOL's Woody & The Wake-Up Call in Columbus, Ohio.

"Oh man. You know what bud? Woody Johnson. Woody Johnson. God bless America, God bless our troops. Woody Johnson, look at you," Cyrus said. "Oh I ain't mad at you. Have a good day, brother." As he exited the studio, Cyrus was heard complaining off-mic about "how rude" Johnson was for asking about the divorce.

Following the blow-out, Johnson took to his blog. "I've always liked Billy Ray Cyrus...and still do, actually, but was taken aback by his reaction to my question regarding the breakup of his marriage. I mean, it's not like it wasn't public knowledge, for crying out loud. If he shuts me down, fine. I respectfully moved on, but he did not," he wrote.

Last month, Miley Cyrus's parents announced they were divorcing after 17 years of marriage. "As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," they say in a statement. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."

Divorce papers were filed in Tennessee citing irreconcilable differences.

Last week, rumors surfaced that Michaels and Tish had an affair earlier this year while Miley was working on her album with the rock star. Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce late last month citing irreconcilable differences and it was immediately speculated that Michaels was the cause.

But the former Poison frontman insists his relationship with the Cyrus family was completely professional. "When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song ... and that was it," he said.

Sorry to hear about your split up Billy, but maybe, just maybe you brought it on yourself by pimping out your daughter. She was an all around sweetheart until you had her start to dress down brother. You know God bless you and all that, but she has enough talent already, and does not need to be taking her look in thatdirection.

Miley has very little talent - if not for being a celebrity kid she'd have had NO chance to get into the entertainment industry! I agree she does dress way too sexy for her years, but who knows if that is her idea, her parents', or the standard set for girls in the entertainment industry? Personally I'd like to see a lot less of Miley's chubby butt prancing around!!! Work it off or cover it up, girl!

And what makes you think Billy Ray is "pimping" out his daughter? Why make a remark that 100's have made that you copied when you have never met BRC or Miley Or Tish.....just say something tackful like, your in my prayers and give him the privacy on "this" matter as they asked. How bout that?

It is very sad to get a divorce. And Billy Ray Cyrus has a right to keep his personal life to himself. If he doesn't want to talk about it, then he shouldn't. I am sure his feelings are very raw at this time. Give the poor man a break!!

Good for Billy Ray! Just because he's celebrity doesn't mean he is not entitled to have some privacy about a very painful, private matter. When folks say 'please respect our privacy' the press needs to listen. If more celebs walked out that way, they'd get the picture in a hurry! Way to go Billy Ray!

I am glad Billy Ray Cyrus walked out of the interview. It is time for people in the Media to stop thinking they have the right to ask personal questions on the air without permission. It does not matter if it is public knowledge or not. IT IS RUDE and insensitive and frankly, none of their business. Good for Cyrus and maybe some of these DJs who think they have some kind of special rights will ask permission to ask personal questions before their show airs.

Thank YOU Mary, he does not have to discuss his personal heart felt grief with the public....if other celebrity's would realize, we don't want to hear about their either. Personal matters should be kept private.

Little Billy boy,, he acts as if he was upset. Some of theses 'stars' already have all the questions on paper before the interview starts, they hand it to the one doing the interview. Billy knew exactly what he was going to be asked, and exactly what he was going to do.
Anything for attention. Billy is a pathetic excuse for a father, and a human being.
Now that Miley's money will be divided between this couple and Miley, Billy is sweating.

Donna.... you know there is a word called tactful, or didn't your parents teach you that?There are some people that doesn't want to talk about their Personal lives, or go public with it, no matter how famous they are.Billy Ray Cyrus asked for prayers and their privacy respected during this time. Maybe if it was shown to them, they could get everything settled.
