Britney Spears's Divorced Parents Back Together

Eight years after getting divorced, Britney Spears's parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears, have reconciled, PEOPLE reports. The couple divorced in 2002 after 30 years of marriage.

"They are back together and are doing well and happy," a source told PEOPLE. "[They're] not remarried but back together." Rumblings of a rumored reconciliation first broke over the summer, but recent sightings seem to confirm they're definitely reunited.

The Spears were spotted this past Saturday at Los Angeles hotspot Boudoir. Eyewitnesses reveal that Jamie and Lynne were dancing and cheering at the lounge as DJ Mr. Best played some of their daughter Britney's biggest hits like 'Toxic' and Gimmie More.'

"They were in a great mood together," said the eyewitness. "They were laughing together – dancing and laughing [and] totally having fun."

Friends are excited about the reconciliation. "Lynne is a dear, sweet person," a family friend said. "She deserves happiness. As her friend, my wish for her would be a happy ending."

One person who might not be thrilled about the news is Britney. Shortly after her parent's split in 2002, she admitted she didn't think the separation was a bad idea. "It's the best thing that's ever happened to my family," Spears said. "My mom and dad, bottom line, do not get along. When I was a baby, they argued."

you never know they were fighting then times change and so do people now it may be better. i was divorced for 2 years now were back together not married but everything is going great we are getting alond better the friendship is back that could be what happed totthem
