Source: Jessica Simpson Not Getting a Prenup, to Papa Joe's Chagrin

If you think it's odd that Jessica Simpson announced she's tying the knot with former footballer Eric Johnson just days after her ex, Nick Lachey, announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, you might think it's even stranger that everyone's favorite blonde will once again say "I do" without a prenuptial agreement in her pocket.

"Nick walked away with over $10 million of her money when they divorced, because they had no prenup. You would think she would have learned her lesson," an insider tells me. "But where romance is concerned, Jess follows her heart not her head."

Although hopeless romantic Jessica has no concern over her estimated $100 million fortune, sources tell me Papa Joe, who as her manager gets 10 percent of every dime she makes, does.

"At the moment, Joe is sitting back and being a great father, supporting his daughter and his future son-in-law," a family friend tells me. "However, you can bet after all the excitement has died down, Joe is going to do everything in his power to make sure Jessica doesn't walk down the aisle until Eric signs away any right he might have to Jessica's enormous fortune."

Jessica has only known Eric since May and he has only just finalized his divorce from his wife of five years, Keri.
Insiders tell me that after she dated the likes of John Mayer and Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo, who dumped Jess on her birthday, she isn't going to let Eric get away.

No matter what it costs her!

I doubt she's doing it to 'one-up' anyone. I think (don't know her at all, of course, so just speculating) that she is very depressed about Nick's engagement. Even if the thought of getting back together with him never crosses her mind, it's still gotta be a stab to her heart. Plus, she seems like an old-fashioned girl in a lot of ways; she's probably been hankering for a hubby and children for a long time now. She hasn't been very lucky, and I hope that I'm wrong about him. I know she's wrong about no pre-nup. That reeks of desperation.

well, i wish Jessica the best ... but, i am hoping for her to protect herself against being taken for a ride !! and ya know ? her dad sure has his head scewed on straight huh ? am sorry i am not a huge female singer fan cuz only a very few really good one today !! also ? am i imaging things or has she had some work done on her face ? cuz if she did ? why ? all these young girls getting stuff done and some of older one look so fake now as well !! plastic surgeons are making a killing huh ? i am hope am wrong bout jess doing it !!

Jessica......................PROTECT YOURSELF...............I hope you'll be happy, but don't forget he's been down this road before and so have you. Why did he leave his first marriage? Go slow don't do it just to keep up with the Joneses. Think try it out longer then six months.

I guess Jessica needs to spend 50 million to get a man to marry her, LOL. He probably said he wouldn't marry her if there was a prenup. It all just reinforces her desparation.
