Travolta and Preston Gearing Up for 'Silent Birth'

While
John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston await the arrival of their new son Benjamin, one thing is already a known fact -- when the little boy does arrive, Scientology will play a major role. John flew back to the USA from Australia on Sunday to make preparations for their new arrival, which will include a controversial "silent" Scientology birth.
"The couple will follow the church's guidelines during delivery," a family insider tells me. "No music, no talking and no screaming will be allowed during the pains of labor. Also their new son cannot be prodded for medical tests or spoken to for the first seven days of his life. You don't want to do anything that will haunt them for the rest of their lives."
Preston told Redbook magazine a few years ago that she tried to follow the church's guidelines during the birth of daughter Ella Bleu, but after 13 long hours of labor, she told her husband, "Throw me in the car. I want an epidural!" However, due to traffic, there was not enough time to get Kelly to the hospital.
"This time around, Kelly is determined to follow her church's guidelines," an insider tells me. "Everyone who will be present at the birth has been given clear instructions to not make a sound."
For your sake, Kelly, I'm hoping Benjamin will be more eager to meet you and John than Ella was! (Full disclosure: I haven't been silent for 13 hours in my life!)

oh please. There are plenty of tuff women who don't have to scream like banshees during childbirth..The Duggars girl who was pregnant did a natural birth and she barely said anything.
My wife never screamed, moaned, or otherwise made any painful sounds during either of the deliveries of our children. It is possible. Different people have different thresholds for pain. We are NOT scientologists.
Hey Mike there is a big difference in not wanting to scream and not being allowed to scream. No one should be told how to act when giving birth, especially from a man that has no idea what a woman goes through, and never will.
Notice how all the responders for the "silence" are MEN? Let the guys have the children and those rules would all change!!! Scientology is a weird cult dreamed up by some MAN. I'll get right on that "silent" thing....NOT.
Hey Mike, maybe Duggar doesn't say anything because she is stretched so big now the babies can walk out.
My first labor was long and very painful from the start in the end I had a c-section. I moaned groaned and screamed for 18 hours. I couldn't help it, labor is the worst pain a woman can go through. I was with my sister for the birth of her second child, she was brilliant, no moaning, groaning, or yelling, 3 pushes and the baby was out. Her total labor 1 hr and 45 min. Her next child was the same and he was over 9 lbs. so it all depends on the woman and her pain threshhold. But for someone to say you "have to be silent" and "can't talk to the baby for a week is a crock of s**t."
Lisa...she does have a choice. this cult thing is a choice just like anything else in life. i think the scientology thing is weird, but i ALSO choose to not be a part of it.
Mike and Glenn: You guys don't have a clue. There are so many variables in childbirth. The mother's health, her bone structure and size, the baby's development, size, presentation etc. My first child was a relatively large 9 lb. 10 oz. With my bone structure and size, I spent over 24 hours in labor and could not push the little guy out for anything. I started to develop a fever and had to have a C-section. Child number 2 was 9 lb. 2 oz. Took close to 48 hours of labor to finally get him into the world. You men, who will never experience the long- lasting pain and subsequent joy of childbirth, have no right or place to judge!!
Not talking to the baby for a week is ludicrous. A baby already knows his mother's and father's voices before they are born.
What if that child were to die after 5 hours? ... the parents never given opportunity to said, "I love you!" My sister gave birth w/ midwife - no screaming but some noise (all natural - which I know some cannot handle and that is fine) but lovely music playing in background to relax her. You think Scientology is strange - see their elite group: Sea Org! NUTS!! Read their reports of 'child abuse' all in the name of service to save the planet!!
Why would anyone want to put such horrendous pain and unrealistic potential for guilt on someone they love. Our most peaceful child, was born with much joy, love and birth noise. There was no craziness, just the love of my husband telling me and our baby he loved us and encouraging the process. It was beautiful, and natural. There is nothing natural about what they are doing. I wish Kelly the best, she has been set up with unrealistic expectations.

I couldn't agree more. I used to like to watch him in movies but the whole Scientology crap has turned my stomach so that I can't watch him anymore--same with Tom Cruise. These people are nut cases. Can't believe they all fall for that Scientology garbage. Maybe they need to REALLY research the nut who came up with the whole Scientology reigion. It was started by a guy in 1923 that studied "the body and mind" and took it one step further to make money off of people like these nuts. I have no respect whatsoever for these people. Maybe they need to really study and seek God and not so much Ron Hubbard.
Scientologists are crazy, no doubt about it, and I love John Travolta and also Lisa Presley but they are both nuts by following this religion, there is only one Bible that was written by God and it doesnt mention the word Scientology.

Nor does it mention the catholic bible. Written especially for them!
What does Lisa Presley have to do with it. Did you mean Kelly Preston?
That would be Preston, not Presley.
Hey Poo- Man wrote the bible. Fast forward to the 21st century!
