New Couple Alert: Brittny Gastineau was seen deep in conversation with Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps at the Mondrian Hotel Friday night, where they spent the evening laughing and getting very close before deciding to take the private conversation somewhere more intimate -- his hotel room.
"They definitely went up to his room together," a source at the hotel tells me. "It was obvious that they were into each other and definitely exchanged numbers."
Which is exactly what must have happened because the next day the new couple were seen laughing and shopping together at the Grove in Los Angeles. Sources tell me they didn't exactly need to meet up the next day since they, you know, never parted ways.
