Eva Longoria Files for Divorce From Tony Parker

This time it's real. Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from basketball star Tony Parker, PEOPLE reports.

The actress filed for the split in a Los Angeles court. She cites "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for the split and recently there has been speculation that Parker cheated on his wife.

According to Usmagazine.com, the San Antonio Spurs point guard has been texting a friend of his wife's for nearly a year, which he confessed to Eva after she confronted him

"Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal," a source told the magazine. "Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over."

The insider adds, "Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him. She's inconsolable."

And Extra reports that Longoria told close friend Mario Lopez the woman in question was the wife of one of Parker's teammates.

"Eva wants everyone to know, she's devastated by the rumors of Tony's infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split. But she's strong," Lopez said.

Eva took to her Twitter account Wednesday to make an announcement about the split. "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness," she wrote.

Tuesday, rumors about an impending separation spread online. However, just minutes after TMZ claimed the pair filed for divorce on Monday in a Texas court, a rep for the 'Desperate Housewives' beauty called the story "100% false."

Longoria's publicist, Liza Anderson, did not expand on the denial in her comment to X17Online, nor did an unnamed Parker rep in a similar statement ("100% false") to CelebBuzz.

TMZ quickly corrected themselves, admitting that they received some bad information from two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse in Texas, who claimed the case was filed and sealed by a family law judge.

The couple married three years ago. The actress announced her engagement to the Spurs player in November 2006, and the couple wed in Parker's native France the following year.

The 'Desperate Housewives' star was previously married to 'General Hospital' actor Tyler Christopher from 2002-04.

This isn't the first time an infidelity scandal has plagued the two. In 2007, a number of tabloids reported that Parker had cheated on Longoria with model Alexandra Paressant. The couple denied the claims and were eventually issued an apology from X17Online, which claimed to have been misled by Paressant.

Unless you are Troy Aikman, please be silent. Most very famous athletes, and celebrities have more women or men trying to get with them. If you are not Troy Aikman, then I do not know you as I do not remember any other famous Troy. If you are Troy Aikman, you are them "MAN" and thank you for being faithful to your wife!

The question is why did he or any partner cheat? Yes, beauty is only skin deep and none of us will ever know what went on behind their closed doors. Being beautiful does not seal a marriage. Sad thing about Hollywood is that the woman`s "private part" seem to be a revolving door. Fall in love, open, shut and open again. Get it???

Maybe people in the limelight just shouldn't bother marrying. If the vows don't mean diddly, then don't say them. So many athletes are tempted and then cheat. Very sad.

Why do women think that they can marry a younger man and think that it is going to last... It is against nature...also he is a stupid egomaniac.. And just because a woman or a man is hot, has nothing to do with "how can they cheat on them" It will work if there is some integrity involved.. Sammy its not age I was married to a man 10 years younger,he died on me after 45 years of great marrage.I do think sex plays a big part in the marrage to often they are too tierd or work to do.

Your Right, she was no friend of Eva's. And chics like that should be strung up by their T I T S. Same goes for a man's best friend cheating with his wife, but he should be strung up by , well, you know what. If women would not bed down with a known married man, there might be alot of less cheating going on.
