Kelly Osbourne Tells Shape 'I Stopped Hating the Way I Looked'Kelly Osbourne has lived the better part of her adult life in the public eye, including her ups, downs and battles with the scale.

The reality star and former 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant opens up in the December issue of Shape about her struggles with substance abuse and how getting healthy changed her life.

Although Osbourne has never claimed to be a wallflower, she admits that the media scrutiny proved too much for her to handle.

"I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem, " she says. "It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way."

Since embarking on her quest for better health, her attitude toward her body has changed for the better. The newly svelte star tells Shape, "I stopped hating the way I looked."
