Maksim Chmrekovskiy on Bristol Palin: 'Shame on Her'

In what might have been the most shocking elimination show of the season, Brandy and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were sent home on Tuesday night's 'Dancing With the Stars'--while Bristol Palin and her partner remained. And Chmerkovskiy isn't too happy about it.

In an interview with E! Online Wednesday, the dancer revealed his true feelings about Palin. "I felt really disappointed with Bristol. On Monday night, I found out that she went on record saying that I said something about her along the lines of, 'I don't like her because she's still here and she's not a good enough dancer.' Every time I've opened my mouth about Bristol, I've been nothing but supportive...

"For her to come out on Monday night and totally smear my name the way she did, that's just completely uncalled for, " Chmerkovskiy continued. "I have no idea where she got it from, but wherever she got it from, shame on her and shame on whoever told her that."

Chmerkovskiy also admits to thinking the voting system is a bit problematic. "I definitely think that the system is flawed. I think there are a lot of problems with it. I have a lot of friends in the Philadelphia area who couldn't call at all. People here, in front of me, picked up the phone, dialed one time and it said, 'Thank you for voting. You are over your limit....' I think it's just a flawed system."

Suffice it to say, he's not rooting for Palin. When asked if he thought she could win, he responded bluntly, "I really don't care."

So, who does he want to win? "I think at this point I'm rooting for Kyle [Massey] because this kid has come on with no fan base, with not a known name, not someone who is in incredible shape or had a phenomenal dance background... Kyle does have the same resilience as Bristol, same dance ability as Jennifer [Grey], but he's just that kid next door... I think he's amazing."

I can not believe that Brandy is gone, she was awesome, I agree the voting is a sham. This girls should have been gone a long time ago. I agree with Max

I disagree totally, they got rid of Brandy (whom i thought would win) to clear the way for whiny Jennifer, plain and simple. Now i'm rooting for the under dogs..Hope that Bristol or Kyle win and send Jennifer back to where she belongs....She is way too into herself and a has been....Her jig was up a long time ago!

Max and Brandy were to sure of themselves dissing others. Their personalities lost it for them. They were probably the best there. Jennifer is probably the favorite now.

From what I have heard, and it may not be true, but Bristol Palins mom has been busting her "Tweat" to get fans to cast their five votes for her daughter. If this is true, is the voting system a bit problematic as Chmerkovskiy states? Hmm.....gee, I wonder?

Grow up people. Max sank this ship with his arrogance. I was hoping for Brandy and Jennifer final 2 but the people have voted. Last season Nicole was a sure bet from the get go. Maybe fans wanted a non entertainer this season. Max is losing more fans by running his ungracious mouth. I'm rooting for Jennifer because I do not enjoy watching Kyle. Personal preference.. Good luck to all 3.

Bristol should have been gone the first night. I will never watch this show again!!!!! If the Palins can control voting, that is scary. We should all be worried.

I think Maksim's attitude is what the people don't like. Every year he acts like I got this attitude and never win. The issue with the judge was uncalled for and probably what lead up to the people not voting. I don't think it had anything to do with Brandy.

I agree. I didn't vote for Brandy because of Maxim. He is just plain egotistic and rude. I think a lot of folks did the same. You are correct. The voting is flawed. The weight of the voting should be with the Judges.

I think Max is correct. The system is flawed. The judges should be able to override voting when they know the people are voting for popularity and not performance. Also, Bristol made the remark about Max on monday night, she knew exactly what she was doing. That whole Palin tribe is corrupt.

I agree about Maksims attitude, but I think that Bristol Palins mother has loaded the phone lines, etc. to get her daughter votes. The Palin clan will do nothing to stop getting what they want, and would not be a bit surprised if the show has been fixed in Bristols favor.

Well, that's too bad, Christine. How mature is it to not vote for Brandy because of something she has no control over? After all, the vote is for Brandy or the other stars, not for their partners.

bunbun, without the input of the people, the show is canceled 1/4 of the through first season. You seem to think the show is about stars that are talented dancers, It's not, it's about ratings and if you take the fans out of it, you're the only one watching.
