Anthony List "Celebration of Life" breakfast at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. Amid growing speculation she will make a presidential bid in 2012, Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin said November 17, 2010 she could beat President Barack Obama to the White House. Palin told ABC News she was seriously considering running to secure the Republican presidential nomination. Now one of the most popular conservatives in America, Palin solidified her life in the spotlight by launching her own reality show on Sunday, featuring her family fishing, kayaking, bear-watching and relaxing in their tiny hometown of Wasilla. Cowan, of Vermont, Wis., blasted his television set with a shotgun after watching Bristol Palin's "Dancing with the Stars" routine Monday night, saying he was fed up with politics and Palin wasn't a very good dancer, according to court documents. Authorities said Cowan then pointed the gun at his wife who escaped and called police. A SWAT team surrounded the couple's Vermont farmhouse and officers were able to talk Cowan out Tuesday, after an all-night standoff. Cowan is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment. Why are people so surprise about what is happening on this season DWTS. Dave said it best, the show as always been about popularity and not talent, same goes for all reality shows like Idol and AGT. Don't dis Bristol, it's not her fault. She or her mother did go ask for her to be on the show, Bristol was invited, and she has improved a lot since the beginning. As far as no dancing talent, look at the past seasons. Season two, Drew Lachey the winner and Jerry Rice the runner-up better than Stacey Kibler, no freaking way. Season three, Emmitt Smith better than Mario Lopez, again no freaking way. Season five, Helio what's his name beating Mel B ????????, then Warren Sapp runner-up in season seven. Yeah sometimes a dancer does win but not always. So tell me this is about dancing and I'll tell you I'm the owner the SF Golden Gate Bridge and I want to sell to you for just a few thousand dollars. Most of you people dissing Briston must have been sleep watching DWTS all this time. Bristol is a nice young lady caught in a controversy not of her making. If you want to diss anyone, diss the producers of show. I hope Bristol wins and maybe, just maybe, the voting system will change giving the judges score more weight than the voting public. A 75-25 ratio would better. Then maybe, just maybe, the best dance partner will win. Otherwise it will remain just a popularity show, and if you idiots out there think otherwise, shame on you.
please it 's a very good show.
It's about stars and Bristol Palin is not a star for what getting pregent as a teenager. she's just one of many young girls out there who can't wait to have sex way too soon.
she doesn't act sing or dance. the only thing she can do is get votes from her mommy's fan club. Why should this suprise anyone Republicans are very good at voting for the wrong people lol
its losing any credibility it might have had quickly, if bristol poordancer wins it will be the last time i watch.
Agree wholeheartly. It's been a popularity contest for several years. They either need to clean up the voting or cancel at the end of this season.
please get the politics out of this. the politics field is already mess with lots of media's push. If media was not there, Obama was not in White House. So, stop about Tea Party, aSarah Palin and etc...
Also, those who pointed out Bristol's being pregnant and linked it with dancing with star, please stop thta too. Although, I am not Bristol's fan for that ethical issue, but why you don't look the mess that other stars do on a daily basis, and still you are praising them. This is just a show. Someone wins and some one lose...Part of it is talent, part of it business, part of it, media, part of it judges, and part of people, ... no one has it all.
It should be only the judges that pick the winner and not the viewing audience.

I agree with you Patt, but I would take it yet a step further. The judges have given Bristol the same scores as the better dancers. One of Brandy's dances this week got all 9's and Bristol got all 9's, as well. There was no way that Bristol was dancing at the same level as Brandy. I think that possibly each week, they get another set of 3 judges that will score the dancers according to that week's performance only, not whether they have improved from previous weeks. "IF" they should still have the viewers vote, possibly let only about 10% of those votes count, not half.
I tried voting for Brandy & Maks all evening & got a recording that there was Network difficulties. Then some time later, I got the recording that the voting was over in my time zone. What the????
I agree with you Patt. We need to do eveything we can to change the voting system, or I can see the 'downfall' of DWTS in the near future. I, definitely, will not watch it again until some changes are made. I am boycotting the show Monday night...hopefully the execs will notice the drop in viewers.
BOLOGNA!!! Where's your voice? Should we sit back and let congress and the senate pick our president too? I love calling in and voting.......
Doesn't texting a vote cost money? Someone is getting rich from the voting alone!
I've never watched this show... I see so many really talented dancers here in NYC!
AMEN ......... thank you.
I think the voting should be to send someone home, and not "save" them. Let's see how the show turns out then.
Lets remember the judges are not necessarily qualified to judge the overall winner either. They all have their biases and only one, Len Goodman, has actually ever danced ballroom. Carrie Ann and Bruno are choreographers and not necessarily in ballroom. They had to learn the dances in order to judge them. I think they need qualified jusges before they exclude viewer votes. DWTS has ALWAYS been a popularity contest, look at the uproar in Kelly Monaco won, they even had a dance off and she lost to John O'Hurley.
what difference would that make? Judges, like Congressmen, can be bought, manipulated, and bribed into anything for the right price. Cancel the show, and all shows like it
The judges scores should not count at all. The only reason people watch is because THEY get to decide. How is you spell American Idol?
You only say this because someone you don't want is winning because of the fact that the public also has a say. If the shoe was on the other foot it would sit just right with you. I agree that she has two left feet but the public has chosen to accept her (probably because that they know how badly she was treated before.)
You folks need to get a life.
It is just a meaningless entertainment show.
What's wrong with all of you?
The reason I have watched DWTS faithfully for many years, was to see outstanding dancing. Yes, Brandi had a slight edge because she is a singer/dancer; so did Nicole last year, Drew Lachey, and others. But the show SHOULD be about the dance, and the "celebs" with experience work as hard as anyone else--they don't breeze through dances they have never seen, they PRACTICE!! If Jennifer and Derek don't win, I will NEVER watch DWTZZZZZ--oops, DWTS--again.
And now that ANTM is unwatchable, maybe I can get more work done rather that watching any more trash on TV!
no!! The judges should not pick the winner..dwts producer should be help responsible for this mess. she can't dance..... how did she obtain all these calls. If she wins i will never watch dwts again
