Chris Brown Gets Another Glowing Probation Report

During a regularly scheduled progress report hearing stemming from his conviction of felony assault, singer Chris Brown received a glowing commendation from the judge, the Associated Press reports. The singer was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor last year after being found guilty of assaulting then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg announced during Thursday's hearing that the R&B singer is close to completing his required domestic violence counseling and has completed almost 73 of 180 days of community service.

"Out of thousands of probationers, no one has done a better or more consistent job than you have, and I really want to commend you for taking responsibility and for actually working diligently to complete all the things the court has required of you," Judge Schnegg told Brown.

As part of his probation, Brown is required to do physical labor such as graffiti removal and roadside cleanup duties. Judge Schnegg is allowing the singer to complete the community service in his home state of Virginia though he is required to return to Los Angeles to check in regularly for progress reports.

"Obviously he's gratified and he's working hard to live up to everyone's expectations," said Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, said after the hearing.

You have got to be kidding me! Rihanna mail him a check? He needs to send her a check for restitution for the same length of time he is on probation! She will forever be scarred psychologically and emotionally because of the abuse she suffered at his hands.

1st of all, C.B. seems like he is a happy kid and I am pretty convinced that most men do not hit women for no reason. Rhianna probably did provoke it... I read something saying she was going through his phone got mad at him and took the keys out of his Lamborghini... Firs of all, why would you get mad at finding dirt if you were looking for it, and second of all she was not beat to a pulp, at most it looked like she had chapped lips, a bump on her head and a puffy face from crying too much. I almost think this was a publicity stunt for her because of that song "The Way You Lie." I feel bad that he had to get all this pressure brought on him for dating her.

I am a woman and I am not condoning men hitting women at all! I have seen men abuse women and it is not a laughing matter, but this should have been his business not the whole worlds.
