Report: Eva Longoria Surprised Tony Parker With Divorce Filing

Rumors are swirling that Tony Parker's cheating was the last straw in his marriage to Eva Longoria, but the actress didn't sit idly by when news of his infidelity broke.

According to RadarOnline, Longoria and Parker had agreed to split after the actress found hundreds of sexy text messages between Parker and Erin Barry, the wife of Parker's former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry.

Longoria and Parker had come to a mutual decision about when they would announce the news of their split to the press, but Longoria, incensed by her husband's behavior, decided to file early, thrusting him unprepared into a media firestorm.

"They were working out the details about who was going to file and when," a source tells Radar. "They didn't want it to become a messy divorce."

Despite Tony copping to the text messages, he denied ever having a physical relationship with Barry.

"Look, any wife is going to be upset with what Tony did, but he swears the relationship with Erin stopped there and they never had sex," the source reports.

Longoria's revenge on her husband didn't stop with her divorce filing: The actress allegedly broke the news about the relationship between Parker and Barry as well.

Although Parker reportedly ended his flirtation with Barry months before it became public knowledge, Longoria was still enraged, particularly because she considered Barry a friend. "Eva is furious that Tony started a relationship with a woman she knew, a woman they went out with as couple friends. She felt betrayed by Tony and this is how she got a small measure of revenge."

The couple, who married in 2007, have no children together and have a prenuptial agreement.

Don't lump all men into one category, just like all women aren't the same. Some good, some bad in each.

Parker sounds like a real jerk. Not only for doing this to Eva, but also because it was with the wife of a teammate (and close friend). I bet his other teammates are keeping their wives and girlfriends far away now.

Why should Longoria have waited to file just because they had mutually agreed to wait to break the separation news? Parker didn't keep his marriage vows, which outweighs any agreement to save Parker's image. Parker is getting all that he deserves. He should have thought about that before he cheated. A year's worth of texting/sexting & there was nothing physical??? Pleez, tell that to the tooth fairy. Who is so delusional to believe there was nothing physical. Eva saw the texting and apparently that was not just flirting. Parker, you reap what you sow.

Wow, how heartbreaking for her. I believe Parker has opened the door for Eva and Mario Lopez to get together. I think they would be really a good match. Parker is going to be really sad one day when he looks up and realizes that he's lost. It doesn't feel like it now, but he's done her a big favor.

He did this with a former teammates wife?! Wonder what his current teammates think of him now? Brent Barry should be looking at filing some papers too. As to Eva, you shouldn't marry someone in such a short amount of time. How much actual time did they spend together getting to know the inner makings of one another?
