Know what's pretty cool? A new 'Miley Cyrus Show' sketch, starring cast newcomer Vanessa Bayer as the Disney darling, stole the show again (check out the first clip if you missed it) on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend. This time, the faux talk show features an interview segment with sleekly styled Katie Holmes, impersonated to a T with an intense-yet-vapid breathlessness by 'SNL' host Anne Hathaway.
Miley leads with the observation that 'Dawson's Creek' was Holmes' breakout role "back in the 1900's," then she peppers Katie with a strident string of questions about Tom, Suri, Scientology and Jesus. And Batman.
But first, get ready for Miley Cyrus -- with her dim Dad and sidekick, Billy Ray (Jason Sudeikis) -- to attempt ventriloquism and trot out hilarious photos that capture the teen's racy new image. "As you've probably heard, I'm sexy now!" she crows.

Whatever. I'M a democrat and I found the skit hilarious. The one about Nancy Pelosi's face always looking like someone's not using the coaster had me in stitches. I only wish they had painted 'Boehner's' face orange.
tedious, i couldn't tell anne hathaway from katie holmes if i ran into them at the mall, SNL needs to end, it's painfully unfunny, miley cyrus is much better than any of this dreck.

Dear Karen,
Evidently, you are jealous of Ann. You must be a "two seater" on
Southwest Airlines.

Barbra, Didn't think the skit was funny. Somehow you went with I must be a two seater in an airplane making fun of overweight people because I wasn't wild about what Ann Hathaway did? Go ahead Barbra eat a cookie it might make you a little nicer.
"Anne Hathaway is the actress you're aspiring to be". Are you kidding, Gollywood is the vapid wasteland strewn with people who couldn't even make the soaps in the 70's. And SNL hasn't been funny in 30 years, just go away.

I'm a big SNL fan, I love Ann Hathaway, and can't care less one way or the other about Miley Cirus - but really, that sketch didn't do a thing for me. The woman doing the Miley immitation looks a bit too old and her voice and ennunciation were far (far) too annoying to make it funny. Ann was O.K. as Katie Holmes, but again - it was so overdone that it was really more annoying than humorous.
I thought the funniest part of last night's show was Seth Myers doing the weekly update, and was disappointed in the show oeverall. :(

The facial expression on Miz Bayer looks loke something out of the movie, The Evil Dead.

I just love the people who say that SNL has not been funny for years....and they have not watched the show in decades. If they got rid of Kristen Wiig, the show is often hilarious and the men are very talented. Wiig is about as funny as a miscarriage the day after your house burns down.

I enjoyed the whole show. It was one of the better efforts by the writing staff. Abby Elliot surprised me with a funny Rachel Maddow. Armisen floored me as the Queen ( he is one anyway -but that's another story). Keenan Thompson was hysterical in everything he did. I just hated Florence and the Machine. She sounded like someone set her on fire. But the best was Anne, she was a great host.
Congrats Anne!

SNL has returned to being funny! Kristen Wiig is ONE OF THE REASONS. She is so talented and so funny!!! Last night's show was hilarious! Whoever doesn't think so needs to get a sense of humor...or maybe you're just getting old.

Just 2 questions.....who is ann heathway....and who is katy homes?

I didn't find the sketch all that funny either. I agree with Laura and I find it a bit distasteful for Anne to be making fun of another actress in that way. Gee maybe Katie can reciprocate by doing a sketch about a dimwitted actress who almost marries a con artist...

I don't know if SNL is funny or not any more. I stopped watching it years ago. I've trie catching the reruns, but don't see anything funny when I do. Could my timing be bad enough that I'm catching only the episodes that aren't that funny? I don't think so. Still, I might have tried this episode as I do think Anne Hathaway is an actress worth watching.

I'm glad Anne showed Katie in that light, she is just like Anne potrayed her to be. I gloried air head who only wanted someone with money to marry. Chris didn't have it so she dumped him for Tom. Josh Jackson dumped her also for this same reason. I'm glad Scientolgy has her...she belongs there-the no talent actress!

Anne Hathaway is not all that, her movies haven't been that good and her oscar nomination for that boring movie, I would put her and Holmes at about an even keel with their acting skills.

I bet Katie thought it was funny until that nut ball husband put in her head it was degrading. He is such a prick.
