Jonny Moseley Faces His Biggest Challenge Yet: 'Skating With the Stars'

On top of his rigorous skating sessions, he'll also be hosting 'Focus Rally: America,' an interactive road race reality show, in which teams compete against one another in 'Amazing Race'-style challenges. 'Focus' begins shooting Feb. 1 and will air on Hulu. Trying to balance it all is one challenge Moseley is ready to face.
PopEater caught up with the Olympic athlete to discuss why fans should "expect the unexpected" with his upcoming gigs.
'Focus Rally: America' features six teams of two traveling across the country, competing against one another. What will make this stand out from shows like 'The Amazing Race'?
One of the cool things about this show is that it is interactive, meaning that people at home can be a part of the rally. They will also get to experience the car and its technology virtually as well.
I love that the winning team will receive 10 new 2012 Ford Focus cars to gift to fans and supporters. Can people watching online get there hands on one of these vehicles?
Definitely. That's one of the unique things about this program. Fans and followers of 'Focus Rally: America' have a chance to win a car. The winners will each receive a Focus and eight additional Focuses will go to the fans of the program.
What advice can you give to those participating in the challenge?
Fasten your seat belts and expect the unexpected. It will a busy and exciting five weeks.
The show is all about challenges. What is one of the biggest challenges you've faced?
I think one of them is right now as I am getting ready for 'Skating with the Stars.'
Who do you think is your biggest 'Skating' competitor?
The competition will be interesting. In terms of my biggest competitors, I would have to say Bethenny Frankel and Rebecca Budig are right up there.
Has your skiing experience helped you in the rink?
Let's see. While my skiing experience has not helped me as much as I thought it would, it has prepared me to endure pain. While skiing, you crash; while skating, you fall. There is definitely an endless list of things to learn.
