Friends Say Eva Longoria 'Has Been No Angel, Either'

With all the Tony Parker cheating accusations that are being tossed around by Eva Longoria's friends, Tony's pals think it's time to set the record straight and point out that both members of this couple have had their problems.

"Eva has been no angel, either," a friend of the couple tells me. "When they first got married, they both agreed to spend as much time with each other as possible. They knew it would be a challenge with them working in different states, but Eva's part-time taping schedule for 'Desperate Housewives' and the resources they had meant it wouldn't be that hard."

However, as time went by, it became obvious to everyone that the couple, who were once inseparable, had started to spend more and more time apart, with Tony in Texas and Eva in Los Angeles.

"During the first year of marriage, Eva partially lived on an plane, visiting Tony the minute the director shouted 'cut' on the set of 'Housewives,'" an insider tells me. "Eva didn't care about the lavish Hollywood parties she was missing or the fantastic private events she was invited to."

"All Eva wanted to do was be with Tony and build a life together, but things started to change as she got more and more sucked into the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle," says another friend.

Both parties have now fittingly filed for divorce in the states they call home, Eva in California and Tony in Texas -- two places so far apart it became impossible for them to find any common ground.

"Tony understands how important Eva's career is to her and never wanted her to leave Los Angeles and settle with him in Texas," a friend of the couple's tells me. "But then she would tell him that important meetings came up in Hollywood -- which meant she had to stay in LA -- and then he would see pictures of her and her friends out at restaurants and clubs. That's when he knew he couldn't compete."

Let's hope Eva enjoys her flamboyant friends and nights out on the town more than she did being a stay-at-home wife.

She was older than him and perhaps he should have waited to get married. Famous athletes are targeted by female fans. They stand around in the hotel lobbies when the team is traveling and cheating does happen. Anyway, they both need to go on with their lives and get over this sad chapter. I don't know why they could not separate without publicly going through this. I guess their is some bitterness, or they would have separated privately and not gave any details.

She went to Us magazine and spilled the beans, that's how it got out. She loves publicity. Look it up, don't take my word for it.

It's too bad -- I thought they were a loving couple -- but they were on Ellen a few weeks ago and Tony got into the dunk tank and Eva was throwing the balls, and the tone of her voice when she said "he was going down" just was off to me, like she really meant it, not kiddingly. Good luck to them both.

If the story is true, then it was a matter of priorities with Eva--if she genuinely missed those "elegant parties" enough to choose them over being with Tony, then it certainly wasn't a one-sided split as most people want to think. Too bad, they were a nice and decent couple.

Rules of marriage...if you have to change anything about you, don't get married...marry someone who excepts you, you job, your friends, and your family.
Sex is great, but leave it there......it doesn't make a long lasting relationship.

I always noticed that immediately after the marriage Eva Longoria was always photographed without Tony going out in LA and always wondered why she was always going out without him even though I knew she was married. It was so obvious they never spent any time together except at huge PR events and birthdays and anniversaries.

I always noticed Eva being photographed so many places without Tony and thought it was the strangest marriage I had ever heard of. I always wondered if it bothered Tony...

What did Eva think marriage was? That you have separate homes and lives and meet every once in a while??

Did they ever really live together at all as a married couple? In the months they weren't shooting Desperate Housewives, was she at home with Tony or was she running around LA for lunches and dinners out?

If Eva really loves Tony, she would change her ways and decide to be a wife- which means sharing a car going places together, being with your husband every day and night, not just for PR events and occasions.

Therein lies the problem and you see and hear about it everyday. Men and women were not designed to be monogamous. How do I know...200,000 years of evolution. Example: Although men and women have the same core temperatures, 98.6 degrees, women have a lower skin temperature. Women are often cold while men are often hot. No where else in the animal world do two animals such as men and women cohabit. In addition, men are conditioned to spread their seed while women are designed to mate with strong men. Men and women should not live together. They certainly shouldn't marry! Marriage is something only about 2,000 years old and women force men to marry them.

OK Lets say its all true about him-that he had flirtations with women.

But what can we say about what Eva thought this "marriage" would be- she would be in LA hanging out with mario lopez, Posh, and all her pals, eating out lunch and dinner, and then every now and then fly in to Texas to sit courtside at a Game, go out with tony for a glamorous evening, and then fly back to LA!? That's what Eva thought marriage was? That Tony would sit around waiting for a Birthday Trip to an exotic location for a couple weeks?
