The New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys took the stage at the American Music Awards to perform a medley of both groups' hits and prepare fans for their upcoming summer tour together.
Arguably the first mega-famous boy band and one of the last combined to sing NKOTB's 'Step By Step' and 'You've Got It (The Right Stuff)' and BSB's 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back),' 'I Want It That Way' and 'Larger Than Life.'
During 'Larger Than Life,' they changed the lyrics to "All you people can't you see, can't you see. NKOTBSB," the moniker of the combined bands -- which includes members Joey McIntyre, A.J. McLean, Jordan Knight, Howie Dorough, Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Brian Littrell, Danny Wood and Nick Carter.

She reveals she was at once both nervous and excited about the daunting project. But as Cher tells us, Aguilera wasn't the only one learning on set.

Boy, did that performance bring back memories. I felt like those people singing in the audience. It was hilarious to see the lead singer of train singing along with the guys. I was a huge fan of NKOTB and adding BSB definitely makes the tour unique. I hope this tour goes better for them.

AT THEIR AGE I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE OVER THE CROTCH GRABBING STAGE, AM SO SICK OF IT. EVEN THE WOMEN ARE DOING IT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW RHIANNA AND HER DANCERS DID IT, WHAT IS THE POINT , IT IS DISGUSTING.,
Oh lord, a bunch of talentless metrosexuals dancing around. God, how I long for the grunge days os old. What's that I hear in the distance...? Oh yes, Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell laughing.

jajaja u funny nsync better yea right !! nkotb and especially BSB are much better they are more talented not like nsync that it was all about Justin Timberlake lolzz and the other ones were like backup singers plus he was like the only cute one in that group so check urself!!!! lolololzz
OH, MY ACHING EARS!!!! THAT WAS AWFUL!!!! Just about 30 seconds into that 'performance' I was telling my 19 year old daughter, who by the way, was ALSO laughing, They can stop now.
Fortunatley, I missed Taylor Swift's 'performance', THANK GOD!!!
I don't know WHO told these people they could sing...but, THEY LIED!!!! I am SO glad I do NOT waste my time or money on these 'performers' or posers.

Well the problem here is that you are too old and your daughter is too young. If you had a daughter who is 21-26 she would have been able to appreciate the awesomeness of NKOTBSB! I thought it was AMAZING and the best performance of the night..BY FAR! But part of that could be because I grew up listening to BSB and NKOTB, so it was like a perfect little flashback for me to my pre-teen/teen days :) I'm getting tickets for the closest tour date (4 hours away) when tickets go on sale.
I grew up with BSB, I loved them for a long time. But to be objective, they aren’t 20 years old. They can’t dance like they did 10-15 years ago, don’t even try... Besides it, what’s wrong with the voices? I was like what the hell is going on?! Boy, it isn’t serious!

NKOTB did great...they sounded pretty good and danced GREAT for being middle aged! Brings back memories. I am proud for them to step back out! BSB did not sound the best...prob nerves. You would have thought they would sound better...ah well...entertaining! :)

Oh for the sixties again.

They should go on tour across America and do Nursing Homes. My Granny can keep up with their cardio routine now! They aren't Boys or Kids anymore!

At least the AMA is eco-friendly. They are recycling and reusing the worn-out plastic pre-fab boy groups.

They are a bunch of TAKE THAT wannabees. Never could catch up to Robbie and Take That. Take That is the number one album in the UK. American Music is STUCK in the Hip Hop HEAP
