Taylor Momsen Benched From 'Gossip Girl'

'Gossip Girl' producers love drama, but seem unable to stand the headlines constantly surrounding star Taylor Momsen. According to Deadline Hollywood's anonymous sources, Momsen has been suspended from the show indefinitely because of her "offscreen antics."

Reps for the CW and Warner Bros. did not comment, but the report says Momsen is confirmed to miss at least four episodes, beginning with the show's Dec. 6 midseason finale. Momsen has only appeared in three episodes this season, though she is credited as a series regular.

In September, 'Project Runway' mentor Tim Gunn appeared on 'Gossip Girl' and didn't love Momsen's on-set attitude either, according to E! Online.

"What a diva!" Gunn said. "She was pathetic, she couldn't even remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself, 'Why are we all being held hostage this brat?'"

glad she's not on it, atleast for a while. Jenny is one of the stupidest characters on TV. and Taylor's annoying

Haha, great rant. The sad thing, though, is that there are so many teen girls out there who think she's the epitome of rock n' roll and that her parents were absolutely terrible for making her rich and famous. If it's so unbearable for her, I'd trade!

I've never watched the show, but I thought it was funny that she claimed to be so dark and rock n' roll while starring on a popular teenage soap opera.

With the holidays right around the corner, I recently watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" movie. Taylor was like an angelic "Cindy Lou Who". She was such a cute little girl. This is evidence of, yet, another innocent child actor gone bad. Given so much so soon and not a clue how to handle it all. It's refreshing that it hasn't happened to Dakota Fanning and I sincerely hope it never will. At least Dakota seems to have strong people/family in her "court". Perhaps those in all the "Taylor's" and "Lindsay's" and "Britney's", etc. failed them. Money cannot buy a good upbringing, peace, real happiness or self-esteem. Just my 2 cents.

and drinking....she had to go to Rehab! It was in the news

After rehab she evidently straightened out.

Yes, I have watched every episode of Gossip Girl and Taylor Momsen's slide into Hell. Unfortunate she is trying so hard to be something, anything, but real. Looks like she found a black charcoal crayon and started drawing circles around her eyes and mouth. Bizarre.

Shame on everyone for speaking about this young girl this way. My son acted for awhile and Hollywood treats children just like they treat famous starlets. They chew them up and spit them out.
Child actors are treated like they can do no wrong when they are on set. They are allowed to boss around anyone and ask for anything. All the Director cares about is getting the performance out of them.
Then they are tossed aside. Without good parental guidance, they are easily lost. This is easy to see by just looking at how many child stars end up as drug addicts, alcoholics, etc. Lindsay Lohan is a perfect example of this.
On GG, Taylor played a part that followed this same path. No surprise where she is now. I hope an adult steps up and helps her before her life is ruined.

They should write her off for good. Nobody wants to see her on tv! She's disgusting & there's no way I want my daughters watching her, which is why they don't. Not that I have to worry about it much. They think she's disgusting too. Someone needs to get her some help cause she is clearly a train wreck.
