Angelina Jolie Refuses to Celebrate Thanksgiving, Thinks It's a 'Story of Murder'

While everyone is preparing to give thanks tomorrow, one of America's most famous families, the Jolie-Pitts, have decided to sit this Thanksgiving out.

"Angelina Jolie hates this holiday and wants no part in rewriting history like so many other Americans," a friend of the actress tells me. "To celebrate what the white settlers did to the native Indians, the domination of one culture over another, just isn't her style. She definitely doesn't want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder."

Angelina has been filming her directorial debut, about a Serbian man and Bosnian woman who fall in love during the Bosnian War. Angie, always extremely sensitive to the suffering throughout the world, is filming in English and the native languages.

"Angelina gets so grossed out by Thanksgiving that she has made sure her family will not be in America this year on Thursday," an insider tells me.

And although Brad Pitt recently told 'EXTRA,' "We'll whip up a turkey somewhere," he certainly hasn't shared that plan with Angelina. A family friend tells me, "If Brad wants turkey, he will have to cook it himself. For Angie, it will be another day when America tries to rewrite history."

Hey, I've got an idea...let's boycott her movies, that'll hit her where it hurts, in her pocketbook!

We never go to their movies or purchase their DVD's anymore -- haven't for a long time now. We just don't like them. We don't have to pay money so they can spout their, often strange, ideas to the world. Money talks, maybe if more people wouldn't support them they would be quiet.

Really, I agree whole heartedly. This nut case needs to keep her pie hole shut, and keep her political rants to herself. Does she really think we like her for her politics? She keeps this up and nobody will pay to see her movies. Then maybe she will have to get a real job like everyone else, and we won't have to hear or see her screwy takes on life.

If Angie were so all fired upset about the bad deal the Indian's got when the European's arrived here, what about adopting children from Indian Nations? What about adopting American Children? Why must she go oversea's to find a child in need? She isn't fit to be the Mother of a Goldfish in my estimation. They don't make anyone more screwed up in the head than this one!
She condemn's her Father for being unfaithful to her sainted Mother and yet how many marriages has she broken up? Nuts....she's just plain nuts!

I do not like this woman and no I don't know her. How could Brad allow himself to be drawn by this woman who possesses so many bad spirits. I wonder how she feels about Christmas if she hates Thanksgiving so much? Brad was raised in the Baptist church which means he was raised on celebrating the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ. He was raised on Thanksgiving.

I know children eventually make up their own minds about their beliefs but I don't understand how he can be with someone who hates and is such a stick in the mud.

I hope he wakes up one day and realizes he needs to get the heck out of dodge. He probably would have by now if he hadn't made the mistake of spawning children with that woman.

She is an idiot! Thanksgiving celebrates havest season that allowed people to survive the winter. That is why the Canadians celebrate it in October! The story of the Native Americans and Pilgrims is just a side note to history and not the main reason for the holiday! This holiday has nothing to do with the later escalation of violence as the "whites" expanded westward. In addition, she'd like you to believe that the Native Americans were a peaceful group that never raided, kidnapped or waged war on their fellow Native American neighbors which is absolutely untrue!

Thank you for enlightening me! I did not know that the Canadians celebrated a Thanksgiving -- I was so pleased to hear that someone decided to do something that made sence!!! For years now, I've often wondered why in the world our country decided on the "holidays" ?? Why not kick 'holloween' out and put Thanksgiving in October and give our pocketbooks a chance to recover as well as the old waistline and let November be used to gather up steam for Decembers activities ??
I thought I was being the 'crack-pot' for not wanting to shove everything in !!
