'Dancing' Producers Relieved Bristol Palin Didn't Win

'Dancing With The Stars' producers are thrilled Bristol Palin didn't win in last night's finale, fearing her triumph would have made it next to impossible to get celebrities to sign up for next season's competition.

"Hollywood is famously liberal, and to have the daughter of a Tea Party candidate win would have meant that booking the show would have been impossible," a casting director tells me. "Now that Jennifer Grey has won, so many other stars will want to be part of the show and try to get their hands on the mirror ball trophy. If Bristol had won, the show would have been dead."

It's true the 'Dancing' winners are all proud to be part of an elite club, which includes Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brooke Burke, Shawn Johnson and Donny Osmond -- all of whom are much happier to welcome Jennifer into the club than Bristol. (As if Bristol winning would take away from their previous achievements!)

"If Bristol had won it would have made the entire show a joke," an ABC insider tells me. "Now that Jennifer is the winner, the producers are relieved and the show's dignity has been restored."

Hey Dave, people don't really hate her, they hate the fact that she's a nobody, can't dance, is rude and mean spirited like the rest of her hateful family... it's her backers that are the haters, teen advocate, hahahahahaha.... now she can go back to Alaska, wave to Russia with Mama Grizzly and pack on another 30 or so.

When was Bristol ever rude? Brandy was so flippin annoying I got sick of watching her. Jennifer, whom I really did like, but boy I got so sick of the tears every week. boo hoo. Kyle was my favorite, cute and funny.

As far as Bristol, the liberal media made her into a star. The Situation was no more of a star than she is but no one said anything about that.

Baloney--the producers were worried?? Those judges had this thing rigged from the very first show. Please, don't insult America, regardless of how unkind it treated Bristol Palin. The media was out to destroy Bristol and she held her ground. Good for her and shame on the naysayers. Have nothing kind to say-then close they mouth and be praised!

Hey jkate, face it, Bristol S-U-C-K-E-D! You and the rest of the tea baggers voted and kept her on the show! They should default Bristol and make Brandy the 3rd place finisher! Bristol's only talent is having kids out of wedlock! So pathetic!!!

Hey jkate,Your judgement is very poor! The media was not out to destroy Bristol, but the media carried her to the final ,when She should have been gone on the 2nd week .The show is designed for performance , and not for the media kindness.

Who put Bristol there in the first place, hmmmm...? She certainly did not belong in with a group of folks who are talented and accustomed to being in the spotlight. She should have been gone in the first few weeks but someone was arranging the votes to keep her there. She was a pawn for not only the ABC producers but for her mother to get some face time - I feel sorry for her. She drove down five hours in a truck, got little support from mom and said she had never been to a broadway show or had heard of a wildly popular show turned into a movie with very famous stars. She also has a questionable mouth for her age - this all looks like parental neglect to me.
Shame on ABC for putting a rube like this in a tough situation and then trying to skew ratings from it.

I can't understand the hate mongers on the Palin family. I don't know what Sarah Palin did except run for office, which anyone in this country can do. Anything Ms. Palin and family do is PERFECTly fine and wonderful with you. If she was your next door neighbor with these trash talking daughters, one an unwed mother, and had the background she herself does, you'd be whispering to your other neighbor about her! While Bristol was entertaining with her clumsiness and the whole white powder thing, its good to see we, as Americans still have our values and voted for the true winner. Her mother Sarah is very entertaining, but in the end, America will not cast votes for a quitter or loser. I will be entertained watching Sarah's ego and greed push forward in the next few months.
