'Dancing' Producers Relieved Bristol Palin Didn't Win

'Dancing With The Stars' producers are thrilled
Bristol Palin didn't win in
last night's finale, fearing her triumph would have made it next to impossible to get celebrities to sign up for next season's competition.
"Hollywood is famously liberal, and to have the daughter of a Tea Party candidate win would have meant that booking the show would have been impossible," a casting director tells me. "Now that Jennifer Grey has won, so many other stars will want to be part of the show and try to get their hands on the mirror ball trophy. If Bristol had won, the show would have been dead."
It's true the 'Dancing' winners are all proud to be part of an elite club, which includes Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brooke Burke, Shawn Johnson and Donny Osmond -- all of whom are much happier to welcome Jennifer into the club than Bristol. (As if Bristol winning would take away from their previous achievements!)
"If Bristol had won it would have made the entire show a joke," an ABC insider tells me. "Now that Jennifer is the winner, the producers are relieved and the show's dignity has been restored."

All you liberals like to downplay her success by saying that she was being voted on by her mother's supporters..yet you don't have one iota of evidence that shows that was really the case. It's just your liberal bias that is driving you to make that crap up.

No evidence?? hey MORON Teabaggers had a VOTE for Bristol on their homepage.. prior to the new week where they wouldnt know if she danced good or not... Teabaggers like you are stupid... go brush that tooth.
To the Palins: Go Away, already! We are all sooooooo sick of all of you. and to BrisDull: A big middle finger back at ya!!!

HOW WOULD YOUALL FEEL IF NANCY PALOSE WAS DANCING WITH THE STARS. I CAN'T THINK OF A WORSE PEROSN ON THIS PLANET THEN HER.
The show has been a joke from the beginning. They used the Bristol Palin saga to get what little they could from todays media. It should of been canceled after the first season.

I don't understand what all this 'fluff' is about. This 'show' is just a simple trite entertainment diversion from our everyday mundane lives. It's about as exciting or meaningful as electing the Prom King and Queen in High School. Get a real life folks!

This is such BS...If the producers really said that then the integrity of the show is in question....It's turned into a political fiasco. We live in a democracy but apparently in Hollywood only liberals have a voice..Everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter what your political persuasion may be...

Can I ask why is Bristol being treated unfairly by the public? She is a human being who may or may not have made good choices in her life, but has taken responsibility for her actions. So what if her mother is Sarah Palin. Judge Bristol for who SHE is, not her Mother! I enjoyed watching Bristol. She may not have been the best dancer, but she continued to improve every week. Yes, I am glad that Jennifer Grey won, but I am also glad that Kyle and Bristol were there as well. Every one who danced this year deserves a thumbs up, regardless if they were good or not. Would YOU be willing to put yourself out there for ridicule?

I'm so sick of reading all of this crap about Bristol Palin. She was invited to be on the show, she did her best and she didn't win.
GET OVER IT AMERICA!

Deb...how is the media influencing anyone in this situation... the media has nothing to do with SEEING that Bristol wasn't a good dancer!!

What a crock of manure. They got cold feet once they realized that the public was outraged. They were going to let Palin win

who is "they"? You, the voting public decide, not the producers. You not voting enough is why Pugsley Addams in a dress didn't win.
"If Bristol had won it would have made the entire show a joke," - the show is a joke anyhow; having Bristol Palin made it more of a joke

It is amazing to me how hateful and nasty people can be over a silly reality TV show that is for entertainment purposes only. If you are not being entertained turn of the damn TV. I don't usually watch the show, but I started to after all the media attention you haters were giving Bristol. I voted for her as many times as I could. I'm not a registered democrat or republican. I am smart enough to use my brain and decide on issues not parties. If anyone did not belong on that show it was Jennifer. She had an unfair advantage from the beginning. She was a star in a moving that taught her how to professionally dance. The whole idea of this show was to teach people who did not know how to dance and vote on the one that was the most improved. Bristol did not make the voting rules and she did not ask to be invited on the show. Why don't you dig out the skeleton of every contestant's closet? Surly Bristol isn't the first unwed "star" to be on a reality show. Exactly what made Kate Gossslin qualified to be on the show? Having 8 kids and being mean to her husband on a TV Reality show? LOL
All you haters either need to start paying attention to the REAL problems of the world, and focus your energy there, or maybe find a more soothing form of entertainment, say, perhaps scooby-doo or Dora the explorer??? Or here's an idea, how about turn off the damn TV and get a life, do something with your family.
I know, not as much fun as being a BULLY...but hey, it might just grow on you.

Jennifer was not in a movie "which taught her how to professionally dance." It taught her a few professional dances, 25 years ago!! Not of the dances on Dirty Dancing were ballroom dances, by any stretch of the imagination. Give the woman a break--she did an exceptional jo for someone who recently had back surgery and hasn't danced in 25 years!!
Please explain to me how all the liberal idiots on these pages all need to trash Bristol for being a teen mother? I guess in your opinions she should have aborted the child? I mean, Oh My God, a teenager made a mistake, give me a break. If taking responsibility for her actions is the best argument you have against her than please shut up. As far as her Mother's fans voting for her... well duh! Who do you think votes for all the others? I mean you don't think Mrs. Brady had a HUGE fan base? I can't beleive every one freaking out over this. You should be more concerned that Jennifer stole her whole routine from Dirty Dancing, where she was trained to dance. Oh and by the way, I love Jennifer Grey but this is not supposed to be a show for trained dancers like Jennifer or Nicole last year.
