Jessica Simpson's Thanksgiving table will be noticeably turkey-free this year, thanks to the influence of fiance Eric Johnson. PEOPLE reports that the former NFL player has adopted a vegan diet since leaving professional sports. Simpson, who accepted Johnson's proposal on Nov. 11, told Jimmy Fallon of her future husband, "After getting out of the NFL, [Eric] went to this healer and is very healthy. For Thanksgiving we have to make a Tofurkey! It doesn't sound right! It's gonna be jiggly and weird."
The singer and actress, who has been open about her struggles with food in the past, told interviewers at the California Women's Conference, "My relationship with food? I want it when I'm sad ... It's important not to say, 'I can't have this,' because then I obsess about it."

When are these hollywood shmucks going to figure out that a vegan diet is horribly unhealthy. In many ways it's just as bad for your body as an all meat diet. Just about every mammal on this planet is an omnivore(meat&plants). When you deprive your body of necessary vitamins and nutrients found naturally in food, you will NOT be healthy. People need to discover moderation in diet, exercise and embrace all elements of the food group as well as vitamin supplements. Show me any scientific data or medical proof that a strict vegan diet is actually good for your health or helps people live longer. It might make you thinner, but thinner does not necessarily mean healthy.

Though I don't think very highly of Jessica and her fame hungry family (her father being the worst) I think she is beautiful at any weight. Even with an extra 20 lbs packed on she is still gorgeous.
