Angelina Hates Thanksgiving (But Loves Christmas)

Just one day after boycotting Thanksgiving, Angelina Jolie was spotted with her children in Paris doing a little holiday shopping. And while the actress and mom of six wanted no part of Turkey Day, which she considers a story of murder, no one could stop her from celebrating Christmas.

"Christmas was the favorite holiday of Angelina's mom, Marcheline Bertrand," a friend of Angie's tells me. "It was a time when Angie and her brother James would open presents, sing songs and enjoy being together. It's this, not the religious part, that Angie wants to pass on to her kids."

Angelina encourages her six young children to show interest in all religions but refuses to steer them towards any particular faith. Jolie confirmed this to Parade magazine, saying, "We have a bookshelf in the house that has the Bible, the Torah, the Koran, everything. We will take our children to church, temple, Buddhist ceremonies, mosques, teaching them about all faiths. Whatever religion they choose, the choice will be theirs."

But the one member of the family who has already made his choice is Brad Pitt. "It's a good thing Angelina likes Christmas too because it's one thing to take away Brad's turkey, but no one is going to take away his Christmas," laughs a friend. "The couple plans to have Brad's whole family over to join them and the kids in France. They get a tree, lots of gifts and most importantly a really good chef since Angelina is hopeless in the kitchen."

So if you bump into Brad's mom and dad in his native Missouri, don't tell them the family was last seen buying boots, pajamas, gloves, sweaters, stuffed animals and one large green plastic alligator at the fancy Bonpoint boutique on Rue de Tournon. I would hate to spoil granny and grandpa's surprise.

No Thanksgiving, but I am glad they do have Christmas for the children. I hope they all have a Merry Christmas, and a happpy new year.

I am not a fan of thanksgiving ,either...people laugh when I say we didn't eat turkey...WHAT,NO TURKEY!and they panic...I laugh....where do they get the turkey thing is beyond me...thanksgiving is about being thankful for what you have ....The first thanksgiving was about the good harvest...the turkey wasn't even in that area...maybe quail...

You got it....she may be beautiful outside but Thanksgiving is to give thanks for what you have which she doesn't care because let's face it she has everything! Maybe she is trying to make herself feel better for breaking up a marrige.

I bet Brad always celebrated Thanksging but she has him so brainwashed it is nuts..

Without Christ there is no Christmas. So what your saying is that she celebrates gift giving. There is also no such thing as a holiday tree. Its a Christmas tree.

This is actually to KAREN. YOU are the MORON. Read the Bible, it states there were LAMBS in the "manger". Lambs are born in the SPRING.

"Christmas" was actually a Pagan holiday at first called "The Winter's Soltice". People celebrated, exchanged gifts, etc., and the Religious leaders hated it, as they hate most things that are FUN.

The Church took the day and decided to make it the day of the Birth of Christ even though they knew HE was born in the Spring or early Summer at the latest.

So if you are celebrating Jesus' birthday, you are late or early whichever. Not ALL things taught in the Christian Church are the FACTS.

I've seen Angie holding Shiloh and Vivienne MANY times. Do you really think I'm going to look each one up for you, you nut?

She is clueless. Takes a 'stand' against Thanksgiving because of it's initial roots, but embraces Christmas? Even though Christmas today is a joyous time, it is rooted in a not so nice Pagan ritual.

I don't know what pagan ritual you are referring to. The Christian world knows that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ the Son of God who came into the world to repair the break between God and man caused by Adam and Eve. If you think that is a pagan ritual, I feel sorry for you.

Noreen, December 25, was originally a pagan holiday. Jesus was not born on that date it was during spring or summer. You can ask any biblical scholar. Educate yourself.
