Angelina Hates Thanksgiving (But Loves Christmas)
Just one day after boycotting Thanksgiving,
Angelina Jolie was spotted with her children in Paris doing a little holiday shopping. And while the actress and mom of six wanted no part of Turkey Day, which she considers a story of murder, no one could stop her from celebrating Christmas.
"Christmas was the favorite holiday of Angelina's mom, Marcheline Bertrand," a friend of Angie's tells me. "It was a time when Angie and her brother James would open presents, sing songs and enjoy being together. It's this, not the religious part, that Angie wants to pass on to her kids."
Angelina encourages her six young children to show interest in all religions but refuses to steer them towards any particular faith. Jolie confirmed this to Parade magazine, saying, "We have a bookshelf in the house that has the Bible, the Torah, the Koran, everything. We will take our children to church, temple, Buddhist ceremonies, mosques, teaching them about all faiths. Whatever religion they choose, the choice will be theirs."
But the one member of the family who has already made his choice is
Brad Pitt. "It's a good thing Angelina likes Christmas too because it's one thing to take away Brad's turkey, but no one is going to take away his Christmas," laughs a friend. "The couple plans to have Brad's whole family over to join them and the kids in France. They get a tree, lots of gifts and most importantly a really good chef since Angelina is hopeless in the kitchen."
So if you bump into Brad's mom and dad in his native Missouri, don't tell them the family was last seen buying boots, pajamas, gloves, sweaters, stuffed animals and one large green plastic alligator at the fancy Bonpoint boutique on Rue de Tournon. I would hate to spoil granny and grandpa's surprise.

Why is there a Christmas? It's because it is celebrated as Jesus Christ's birthday,so if you are not celebrating Christ's birthday,what is your excuse for lavishing upon yourself and your kids tons of presents? Talk about self-centered. She's a moron,and to expect young children to "choose" a religion is ridiculous. These kids will all be totally screwed up by the time they are 16,just as she was. Dumb Brad.

I celebrate Christ's birthday everyday. Christmas is celebrated by all. Make it a National Holiday & let everyone celebrate!! After all it isn't really Jesus birthday. It is a pagan ritual. Just like most if not all of the christian holidays.

Obviously, Brad and Angelina have their taste in Holidays. It is sad to reject the Thanksgiving Holiday (Holy Day)as it is good to "give thanks to the LORD for he is good and his mercy endureth forever". A lack of thanks giving shows pride, arrogance and hardheartedness...all pitiful states of the soul. How many in Hollywood think by their own hand they have made themselves rich and all their giftedness flows from self? God knows and someday all will give an account as to what they did with their talents...also whether they accepted the Christ of Christmas or not!!

it figures that she wouldn't like thanksgiving which is about family and sitting down to share a meal. angelina, there was no murder at the first thanksgiving. but would love christmas not for its religious meaning but for the fact that she can spend alot of money. i agree without Christ there is no Christmas. why do people who are not christians celebrate a holiday that is about the birth of Jesus. what do they say they are celebrating? spending money?
if those kids don't end up messed up it will be a miracle.

Of course she doesn't like Thanksgiving. It was established by George Washington to give THANKS TO GOD! How ironic she loves CHRIST-mas. I am always amazed by those who celebrate a holiday without any understanding of its origin. So...Angelina and the rest of you...JESUS loves you so much He died for YOU so that you can have eternal life. He should be celebrated.

Have you actually done your historic research? Christmas was originally a pagan holiday. Since the Romans could not easily force the pagans to abandon their religion, they attempted to cover up every pagan celebration with a Christian one. Also, most scholars would quickly tell you that Christ was NOT born on December 25th.
Besides, it's her business about what she wants to celebrate and why. If you haven't noticed, the author of these articles NEVER uses his mysterious sources' names... "An inside source," "a close friend of Angelina's," etc. How can you even believe him for a second?
