Chris Noth may be famous for his role as mogul Mr. Big in the 'Sex and the City' series, but it seems as though he may not be as flush as the characters he portrays. Samuel Hagan, a lawyer who did business with Noth during his days as co-owner of New York City's Cutting Room nightclub, says that Noth and his business partner owe him $109,000 for a retainer fee that was mistakenly refunded to them.
Hagan claims that Noth and Cutting Room partner Steve Walter hid the now-shuttered club's assets to avoid paying up, according to the New York Post.

Isn't his name actually Chris "North"?

No, it's is Noth.
Noth is worth millions. He signed a very lucrative deal when doing the detective show which made him more money than the Sex and the City show did.He is worth more than SJParker. What he and his partner did was just business.

What's next, is this lawyer going to start asking his ex-employees to pay up because he over paid them? If this guy can't do his own accounting then it's his tough luck, a fool and his money are soon parted and the fact that he can't add is one reason why. I wouldn't send him the money back, because if he was wrong with his accounting the first go around what makes him right this time.

What they did was cash a check the lawyer sent them. The article says the lawyer claims the refund of a retainer was mistakenly sent to Noth and Walter. Let more lawyers work it out.

My wife and all of her friends think of Noth as Mr Big. But for me he will always be Detective Mike Logan. I loved his work with the late Jerry Ohrbach on Law and Order. Their back-and-forth banter is legendary.

It took this laywer almost two years to figure out that he was over 100k short. I'm not sure that I would want that information to go public. That should be a real shot in the arm for his practice.
