Kim Kardashian Is the Top Search on Bing

Kim Kardashian's brand strength has grown by leaps and bounds in 2010. The complete Kardashian domination is evidenced this week by a tally of the top searches on Microsoft's search engine Bing. Kim comes in at number one, beating out Tiger Woods, Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson.

Mind you, Kim wasn't even involved in a sex scandal in the past year, isn't the object of millions of teen girls affection and didn't die.

The most popular overall 2010 searches on Bing: 1) Kim Kardashian, 2) Sandra Bullock, 3) Tiger Woods, 4) Lady Gaga, 5) Barack Obama, 6) Hairstyles, 7) Kate Gosselin, 8) Walmart, 9) Justin Bieber and 10) free.

The most popular people searched in 2010 on Bing: 1) Kim Kardashian, 2) Sandra Bullock, 3) Tiger Woods, 4) Lady Gaga, 5) Barack Obama, 6) Kate Gosselin, 7) Justin Bieber, 8) Jesse James, 9) Lindsay Lohan, 10) Jennifer Aniston and 11) Michael Jackson.

Only a few years ago, Kardashian's former bestie and boss Paris Hilton was one of the top searches on the Internet. Today? Paris is the 43rd most searched person on Bing, below John Corbett and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

It goes to show that Kim's strategy for building her empire through her reality television show, 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians,' as well as keeping her name and hot body in the tabloids each week is serving to grow her celebrity. What remains to be seen is if Kim can maintain that celebrity and translate it into dollars in a sustainable way, which Paris could not.
