Britney Spears' Ex Takes Polygraph Test to Prove Tapes Are Real

Britney Spears' ex-husband stands by the legitimacy of the bombshell audio tapes released Wednesday in which the singer alleges that her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, has physically abused her. Now Star Magazine, which broke the shocking scandal in a new cover story, is reporting that Jason Alexander has even taken a polygraph test. And he passed.

"Alexander passed a polygraph test administered on Nov. 19 in which the examiner determined Alexander showed absolutely no signs of deception," according to Star.

In the audio tapes, released by RadarOnline.com, a voice attributed to Alexander asks a woman believed to be Spears about problems with "fiance" Trawick, a voice reported to be Spears replies, "That f***er is not my fiance."

"I thought he proposed to you or something at the beach?" Alexander asks. Spears answers, "Before or after he beat on me?"

Almost as quickly as the tapes emerged, there have been doubts raised on whether the call truly features Spears' voice. Though it sounds like the pop star, a representative for the star denies the report. Moreover, GossipCop's Michael Lewittes tells PopEater, "I produced her interview with Matt Lauer for 'Dateline,' and it doesn't sound like her."

Alexander swears the tape is legit. "I completely stand behind my story ... that is absolutely my ex-wife Britney Spears on that tape," he told Star.

It's unclear when the conversation occurred or if Spears is still dating Trawick. In the call, Spears says she changed her phone number and was not talking to Trawick, but he was still working for her. "My dad does not want him around me right now. My dad has a shotgun and he's just waiting to use it."

Radar has since released a second batch of audio, this time with Spears justifying why she hasn't reported the assault to the police. "I didn't want the public knowing about it and I didn't want to file anything so everyone could find out," Britney says. "So I've just left him and changed my number."

It's interesting Jason Alexander refers to Britney as his "ex-wife". Their marriage was annulled, which means the record is erased and legally, the marriage never happened. You cannot refer to someone as your "ex wife" if your marriage was annulled = null and void.

Britney you should have "stood up" and let everyone know about the abuse. At least you have the money to take this guy to court and get some justice. Abuse is rampat in the US, not only of women but of children also. I am in LA right now trying to help my daughter regain her strength and spirit after violent abuse, the guy just walked and went home to his mama. She, on the other hand is suffering. I believe every word Oksana Grigorievo (Mel's ex-girlfriend) says. You, Rhianna, Marie Osmond, and many other stars should unite and hold a Million Women March against abuse.

i am hoping that Oksana Grigorieva is opening the door and women who are abused will report it and stand up for themselves instead of letting these men get away with violence against them. if he hits you once, he will do it again. and if you get away from him and don't report it, he will hit the next girlfriend, and the one after that. abusers have to be held accountable for the abuse against others.

It wouldn't be a stretch for Star to "say" he took a polygraph test, or for Jason to learn how to beat the polygraph test. I'm not convinced. But if it's true, I wish Britney the best and I hope she doesn't stay with him.

I doubt this is true. If it were, she wouldn't hesitate to speak up. Publicity is what it is all about in Hollywood.....especially when you are the 'victim'.

I remember having some Cd's and they said I just played stuff they "loved to hate". Belly, Letters to Cleo, Ace of Base, etc, ugh.

I listened to Britney, Christina, Mandy, P! ink but but everybody'd say it sucked, ha ha.
