Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson's Big Family Dinner

Life & Style has the exclusive details on Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson's recent dinner with both of their families.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Jessica's family met Eric's to celebrate the couple's engagement at Coppola's Italian restaurant in New York City.

"She and Eric were very loving -- hugging, kissing and whispering in each other's ears," a witness said.

"She also showed off her engagement ring. She even took it off at one point and handed it to Eric's parents to look at," the insider added.

As for the prospect of a baby, Jessica's mother is certainly excited. "Obviously I'm looking forward to having more grandkids!" she told the magazine. "Bronx is the love of my life," she said of daughter Ashlee's son with Pete Wentz.

But does Grandma Simpson want another grandson or a granddaughter? "I'll take anything I get. I'm not picky!"

The couple recently announced their engagement. Simpson was previously married to Nick Lachey.

Can you people be any more mean or rotten to someone you don't even know outside of the media? Jessica and Eric are engaged and enjoying their lives together. Nothing in life is guaranteed for her, for you, for anyone. At the moment, they are happy, planning their wedding. You can't speculate on the timing, as how do you know that he didn't plan asking Jessica to marry him before the ex popped his question? You DON'T as you DON'T know any of them. TRY, just TRY, to be a decent human being and whether you 'like' her or not, wish them the best. Why is so much hate necessary on every story about celebs that you don't even know? WHY is there any hate at all? I wish Jessica and Eric the best and a long, happy marriage. No, I don't know her, but as a human being with feelings, she deserves that much. You may just feel better about yourselves if you stop being so hateful towards others whether you know them or not. There's plenty of hate in this world to go around so your addition is not needed. Again, all the best to the happy couple!

These haters are just losers, people who have no luck or talent , clearly Jessica is smart , running her business empire requires brains. She had made mistakes in her choice of partners before but so does millions of women in the world. So haters don't be jealous just because you don't got what she has.
