'Walker, Texas Ranger' Chuck Norris Becomes Actual Texas Ranger

Chuck Norris cracked skulls for years as a Texas ranger on television, and now Texas wants to make it official, minus the cracking skulls part. Gov. Rick Perry is scheduled to make the 70-year-old actor an honorary member of the famed law enforcement squad on Thursday, AP reports.

The small ceremony will take place at an unspecified Texas Rangers office in suburban Dallas, TX.

Perry is also giving Chuck's younger brother Aaron, a stunt coordinator and producer, an honorary membership as well.

I agree he is a great guy. I used to babysit his kids when I was 13. I met him thru some of his other friends that I was a regular babysitter for. I have watched all of the episodes even the reruns at times. Some of these people don't know what they are talking about.

I agree with you Joe. This is really great and everyone should show respect to the Norris brothers. The TV show was great and Chuck Norris is well known for his charity and mentoring.

Well Bob, your right, he is older than most of the stars on TV today. But I fail to see where that has anything to do with it. Maybe it's because of his policical views. If I had to make a guess, I would say you were probably very liberal. There's no other reason to attack anyone that has moral and respectable values as he does.

You don't have to agree with Chuck Norris's politics... I don't... I do agree with his being a nice guy, however. Ask Ernest Hart, a former world champion in Kick Boxing. Chuck Norris was his sponser in the 70's... Mr Norris not only helped Ernest Hart, he was a good friend. Ernest is a native St Louisan, who made it out of proverty and didn't do drugs. Ernest
didn't rob people. Ernest worked hard and Mr Norris was a mentor
who helped him move forward. Ernest continues to live in Missour,
he is a successful businessman and has a wonderful family. Chuck Norris has helped plenty of people in his private life. Good for him. He is a Texas Ranger in my eyes...
