Jon's Pals: 'Kate Will Never Take Responsibility'

After Kate Gosselin sat down with Meredith Vieira on NBC's 'Today' show on Wednesday and swore that her children were not expelled from school and that her ex-husband lied when he said he apologized to her for his past behavior, Jon's friends are fighting back, telling me people shouldn't believe a word Kate says.

"She's in even more denial than Dina Lohan," a friend of Jon's tells me, nodding to Dina's similar visit to 'Today' last month. "Kate takes shots at Jon on national TV but will never take any personal responsibility for the mess this family is in. It's like everything that went wrong was all Jon's fault and had nothing to do with her."

During the 'Today' interview, Kate disputed Jon's tweet last month that he has "apologized to Kate" for messing up in the past.

"I have never personally been apologized to," Kate said. "I don't personally consider an interview on TV or a tabloid as an apology, unfortunately. But I have strangely and ironically forgiven him for the sake of my kids."

One TV insider I spoke to believes Kate is being a tad hypocritical when she claims her children's problems are a private matter, while at the same time promoting a TV show centered on the children.

"She wants it both ways. It's time she stopped blaming others, including Jon, and started looking in the mirror," my source says. "It's heartbreaking."

What do you think: would Kate be better off spending more time at home rather than rushing to NYC to do press interviews?

The woman is the most self-centered person I have ever seen and I think she believes her own bull. She will do ANYTHING not to lose the show. She is such yesterdays news. She just won't go away. Loves being on TV - she needs to take care of those kids and stop promoting the show. TLC is also to blame. Ratings are not even up anymore-let that family figure it out w/out the cameras.

I think it's unfair to blame Kate. She is damned by the public no matter what she does! She's been the one earning money for the family while Jon has screwed around playing daddy hollywood at the parties and with the young women. Now he suddenly had a change of heart (hollywood didn't want him) and he's trying to make himself out to be the "good guy" who just wants a normal, regular life. Whatever! He supposed got a "regular" job again - yes because he couldn't land any other reality shows, etc like he was trying to do. He really irks me. They both need to stop bashing and stop talking about their kids with the public. I don't begrudge Kate doing tv shows and landing hosting gigs with Entertainment Tonight, etc. It's not cheap to raise 8 kids. She's doing what she can - I'd milk anything I could from Hollywood, too.

It seems no matter what she does everyone is all over her. If she stays home - she's lazy and doesn't want to work. But if she works, she's a bad mom for going after the "media spotlight". Well, nursing isn't going to pay enough to raise EIGHT kids.

Obviously you haven't observed Kate from the get go. Kate has transformed from a OCD Mom to an OCD Diva. Done with her and her mess making. Odds are the majority of the kids will be a mess thanks to their mother who uses them for a cash cow. No kidding Jon is no saint but he was happy with the twins Kate wanted MORE and people who worked with her when she worked as a nurse have all said this is her plan have a litter for to be meak tickets.

Cali, she knew the risk of taking fetility drugs. Taking responsibility does not give her the badge that allows her parade her kids and play blame games on tv interviews.

Have you even watched the original show? Watch it and know this fact: husbands do not like (and should not tolerate) wives who are bossy and verbally abusive JUST as much as wives do not like cheating husbands.

I tend to agree with you Cali. It really doesn't matter what she does, people are going to find fault with her. At least she is trying to make money to support her children and put away for their college education. That is more than their idolt father has done. I don't think Kate is Mother of the Year by any means, but it seems like she is doing the best she can. I feel sorry for her and the children for the way that Jon has behaved over the past year. I have seen the original shows and she wasn't always pleasant with Job but lets face it, Jon was just like having another child to take care of. At least he was able to go to work and get out of the house. She was trapped there taking care of their children.

It is ALL Kate's fault. The entire mess. She berated her husband on national tv and in front of her children for years, I applauded Jon for finally standing up for himself. He was and IS the better parent. He was the one who was calm and kind while Kate screamed and went into a frenzie over ridiculous things ie.getting hands dirty. That's right, Kate is a lousy person and a worse parent. Maybe God knew what he was doing when he wouldn't allow Kate to conceive naturally. Some people should NOT have children.
Kate is a narcissist, gold digging, lying, POS and I wish TLC would make her GO AWAY!

Kat has been earning money?! Are you serious, the KIDS are earning money for the family, both the parents are to blame. Kate is a parasite and John is a wicked slacker. The kids are going to feel the effects of a mother that uses them for money and fame, and a father that -to me- doesnt seem like hes gives a damn.

I keep hearing this about Kate dealing with Jon is like having another child around. Jon has issue, I purely agree, but let's ALSO FACE IT, Jon was the bread winner when the show started (anyone remember that he was an IT anyalst for the government? for all you know it all wives, that is a HARD and STRESSFUL job)

Jon also took on the burdens of taking care of all those kids (last I checked, they are his kids, TOO). I don't care how so-called "childish" your husband acts, that does not give a woman the right to immasculate, ridicule and verbally irradicate him on national television.

I agree! I love Kate. Everybody has issues and challenges, but she has taken the attacks from the media and the public with more grace that most would have. She has her kids best interest at heart.

I agree, Kate is being bullied by the public. I hate the women on the view who are doing the same thing earning a living and bashing Kate for doing the same. Joy Behar should be shot...for shooting off her mouth all the time. My money is betting on the fact that a teacher in a private school just does not want to deal with these two kids as teachers in public school have to do so they gave them the boot. If I were Kate, I'd homeschool all of them and screw the private school.

I am so sick of reading any news about Kate Gosselin, she is a disgrace to all mothers out there. Could any one person be in more denial than this THING that calls herself a mother. Of course her kids were expelled for being bullies, everyone knows that. Where does she think they learned their behavior? Look at their mother, she bullied John to the point of him walking out on her. They need to cancel her show, take her off the air and put her kids in some extreme counseling. Everyone needs to boycott TLC until they take this disgusting person who blames everyone but herself for her troubles off the air.

Kate is a royal bit--. She treated Jon publically like a DOG on their earlier shows.He should have divorced HER a long time ago. She is older than he is and tries to run everything.He was a bit lost when they split because he was never use to having so much time on his hands.I cannot begin to write how much disgust I have for her!

she can work without screaming to be in the spotlight. many of us single moms do it. yes, she is supporting her children, and that is great, but so are millions just like her and we are not crying on tv or in tabloids and pointing fingers at everyone but ourselves. she needs to go away.
