Nicki Minaj Shocked by Regis Philbin's Behavior

Nicki Minaj tweeted that she was in shock after Regis Philbin got a little too friendly with her.

The rapper made appeared on 'LIVE! With Regis and Kelly' and following her performance of her hit single 'Right Thru Me', the singer joined Regis and co-host Kelly Ripa to discuss her album, 'Pink Friday.'

During the discussion, Regis told her "I love the way you dress, this looks like you've got a little strap around you there," he added, fingering the hem of her frock, then patting her rear end with his hand.

"Regis! What just happened?" a surprised Kelly Ripa asked. Watch the video after the jump.

Despite Minaj's best attempts to play it cool, Regis' inappropriate behavior did not stop there. In response to her statement that her boss Lil Wayne advises her to "go hard". Regis joked "Go hard? I wish I could."

After the show, a fan of Minaj's tweeted, "What went thru your mind when Regis had slapped ya? That was epic!"

She tweeted back "LOL. I was in shock!"

Minaj's album 'Pink Friday' sold 375,000 copies in its first week and its currently at the number two position on the Billboard charts.

I don't know why people still hold on to the idea that just because a woman dresses a particular way, she deserves to have a man touch her or act inappropriate. It is a woman's choice to dress however she wishes, just as it is any person's choice. I do think that the least one person can do for another is respect his or her personal space and treat him or her with respect no matter how that person looks or dresses. A woman who is proud of her body isn't really objectifying herself, and it's not right for a person to objectify her like that on national television. Regis owes her at least an apology for his behavior. (And what does your being black have to do with anything?)

Crys, we don't live in a world where people can just dress a certain way and not expect to be treated a certain way. I don't even understand why a woman would dress provocatively if she doesn't want male attention. Not saying she deserves it, but you certainly be surprised.

The reason speech informed us that she's black is because you know a million people are going to accuse her of being racist because she disagrees with the way Nicki dresses. If you really don't know this stuff then you are too naive to have any opinion on the subject.

I just watched this clip and I have to say, I don't see where all the hoopla is. This just seemed like Regis being Regis. I like Nicki Minaj, but maybe she should have done some research on Regis' past interviews. He didn't seem to interview any differenly than his usual self. This just seems like a mountain out of a mole hill situation.

Regis has always said he has heart disease for many years and takes beta-blockers for his condition. His remark was probably an honest joke about himself and had nothing to do with his guest other than the fact that their conversation gave him the opportunity to say what he said.

Not a big deal, the girl does have a big 'ol awesome behind. Just goes to show all you ladies that most men dont like skinny emaciated women. We like curves!
