Call Me, Seriously: Insider Says Hasselbeck 'Feels Used' By Palin

Back in 2008, when the 'The View's' resident conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck introduced then-VP nominee Sarah Palin at Florida political rallies, the daytime host thought it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. But alas, two years later, poor Elisabeth is left feeling used and confused now that the 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' star no longer returns her calls.

"I am more than honored to be there," Elisabeth said of being asked to introduce Palin at campaign rallies in Florida. "So, that's an honor and I'm excited to do it and I'll have some stories, I'm sure, on Monday."

Well, it turns out those "stories" didn't last very long, because after the election was over, Sarah no longer needed the 'View' star's support, so she simply moved on.

"Elisabeth feels used by the former governor," an insider with knowledge of the situation tells me. "She stood up and did everything she could to help get Sarah into the White House, expecting to have made a friend for life. Elisabeth isn't fake. You might not like her politics, but she is a very genuine person. If she likes someone, she will do whatever she can to help them."

That genuine desire to help her friend inspired Elisabeth to take a break from her home and family and hit the campaign trail, something she didn't mind one bit.

"What she does mind is the fact that now this friend no longer needs her, she doesn't even return her calls!" my source says.

Don't feel so dumped, Elisabeth -- I'm not so sure Sarah is returning her old running mate's calls either!

Sarah Palin is a dope. She doesn't need little Elizabeth anymore since she now has her own following of Palin Kool-Aid drinkers. She is not qualified to be president, yet her ego spouts she could and may run. This is a lady who couldn't even name the continents and won't release her college GPA. Geez, I wonder why? I hope her 15 minutes of fame is up soon, there isn't a camera she doesn't love.

Palin not qualified to be President you say? How the hell was Obama qualified? At least she was a Governor of a state before running for VP. What was Obama? A state representative. He was never a US Senator--he was campaigning the whole time. F#ck me you people are stupid.

Sarah Palin has more experience to be President then Obama did..He was never in a public job, has never held much for jobs and doesn't even know the ins and outs of how Gov. works...Sarah has held State Gov position, has worked her but off for her family and knows what the people in America are facing and what they are going through now...Obama is out of touch and always will be with the American people...That's why he takes so many vacations...More vacations in 2 years then any President in history!

The couple times I've seen the View I haven't been impressed. And Elizabeth is the main reason why. She's a knee jerk conservative who talks over other people, treats guests rudely, and thinks what she says is more important than anything else. I can't stand her. Some of the others have better manners, but it's just all talk. I can't stand the talking heads shows, and they know what they're talking about, so why would I listen to these women?
