Do you hear what we hear? That's the sound of millions of loyal Howard Stern fans saying: Just tell us where to find him in the new year, already! The shock jock has been in negotiations for a new contract with Sirius XM Radio (his multi-year, $500 million deal expires at year's end), but there still isn't news from the company about renewing the partnership. The silence on a new contract means the network is missing the chance to snap up new subscriptions this holiday season, and many believe it's a surefire signal that Sirius is seriously in trouble, i.e., about to lose their biggest star.
In the meantime, a rumor that Apple could snag the self-proclaimed "King of All Media" in a new $600 million deal has suddenly gained major traction.
But would a raunchy radio star like Stern, famous for his NSFW banter and porn star interviews, be a successful fit within Steve Jobs' clean, conservative corporation? On the iPad (which "Apple wants to keep family friendly," according to The Wrap.com), strict policies already govern how content is presented. How will things change at Apple with Stern on board?
And how many Sirius XM subscribers would jump ship to follow their hero -- currently heard four days a week on the satellite network -- over to a new format of iTunes streams?

AOL - Why in the hell can't you stop the spam?!!!
I care care less where he lands. I stopped listening when he left 92.3 and decided it was more lucrative to charge those who put him there. Oh, I also didn't care for the way he split up with his wife Allison after bragging about how devoted he was.
Sorry guys.....I'm following Howard, wherever he may go. Best radio talent ever.
People jumping ship to go with Stern is around 10 people. He's crap and intelligent people know it.
I go where he goes. I will be turning off my subscription the day after he leaves sirius.
Howard who! Hes done! Saw his 1987 movie and it affirmed what I already know1 Hes a jerk that got lucky!

You're a serious idiot teacher. You watched a movie in 1987; I'm proud of you.
Stern's movie 'Private Parts' was awesome and it came out in 1997. Go smoke some more nutmeg you moron.
What happened to Stern's plan to produce movies? I think Stern needs Sirius more than it needs him now. His audience is getting older and is there any research to show he picks up new young listeners? iTunes sounds like a bad fit because Steve Jobs is a bigger prima donna than Stern.

I would go wherever Howard is. joeteacher you don't know squat and probably listen to Rush.

Howard Stern is an amoral, worthless human being whose only talent is providing a public forum for those who want to listen and watch his trash. We are a sick society if this man is made a success and idol to millions. I hope iTunes and anyone else considering giving him a voice reconsiders. He is a disgrace to humanity. And no, I don't listen to Rush.

Listen to yourself! What are you saying? He's ALREADY a "success and idol to millions". He's either retiring and living off the fortune he's already made, or he's re-signing with Sirius to the relief of his fervent fans. The iTunes idea is stupid, can't see that happening...That said, I'm not a fervent fan, though I've laughed a few times over the years. I think HS's day is done. I'm told since Artie Lang left the show, it's just endless wanking. (yeah, I know, I know...)
go plow little boys you religious fool
If Howard Stern hit I-Tunes Im off I-Tunes.
Why invite a lice ridden crap stirrer into a great organization?
He will do the same thing to I-Tunes he did to Sirrus Radio .... drive customers away in droves !!

If Howard Stern was never heard from or about again, I could still sleep well. Don't know anything he's done that would make the public care about what he does or doesn't do. Maybe he's the one that came up with this "news flash" but I for one know of nobody that gives a rats pattuty!

Chances are that the people here who are bashing Stern don't even listen to his show. How is his show any more shocking and "amoral" than the reality trash TV that is being crammed down our throats ?? At least Stern and Robin provide intelligent debate and opinions on the show, and if you were a true listener, BOB, you would know this. BOB, you say that Stern is a worthless human being ?? He and his wife provide countless hours and money to the Northshore Animal League to try and provide a better life for animals. Doesn't sound like something a worthless human being would do. Before you bore us all with your baseless opinions, listen to the show.
