Bristol Palin: 'My Mom Did Not Force Me to Go on 'DWTS''

Bristol Palin is firing back at Margaret Cho, after the comedienne and fellow 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant claimed Sarah Palin made her daughter appear on the show.

"I will give my friend credit for creativity, and extra points for getting so many 'facts' wrong in so few sentences," Bristol wrote on her Facebook page.

"Let me be blunt: my mom did not 'force' me to go on 'DWTS.' She did not ask me either. The show approached me. I thought about it. I made the decision," she continued.

"It saddens me that people would think that my mom would 'blame' me for anything that occurred in the 2008 election--much less 'harshly" and "openly.' I think that canard (there, I said it again), has been floating around since then also," she added.

Bristol decided to speak up because she wants to defend her mother.

"Why do I want to set the record straight? Because it is this type of hurtful and false narrative that people promote to make my mom look bad. For 20 years my mom had my back--and for the rest of my life I will have hers."

The teen mom also invited Cho to speak to her directly. "If you ever have a question, call me girlfriend. Don't ever rely on "sources" who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time."

Palin even took a shot at Margaret's politics. "If you understood that commonsense conservative values supports the right of individuals like you, like all of us, to live our lives with less government interference and more independence, you would embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert."

The comedienne responded to Bristol's remarks on her Twitter account. "The only reason Bristol is so freaked out and everyone is asking me to retract what I said is because they know its true."

On Nov. 29, Cho blogged about a rumor that Palin's daughter was only competing in the reality TV dance competition because her mom pushed her into it so she could score political points for a possible White House run.

"Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the [2008] election, and so she told Bristol she 'owed' it to her to do 'DWTS' so that 'America would fall in love with her again' and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way," Cho wrote.

The story I read in two tabloids is Bristol Palin's Mom "made her go on DWTS" Bristol's Mom wanted to punish her for getting "pregnant"...I though this story was made up as many are, but Margaret Cho is wrong!
It all goes back to idle chit-chat...I am very surprised at Cho for this false statement, I guess her credibility is zero!

How stupid, stupid, stupid Ms Cho is and how stupid all the people who think like her.
You are all jealous and fearful of Sarah Palin because she is the voice of all of us with brains and good values.

I am not defending Cho but she did say SUPPOSEDLY Palin blames Bristol. Anyway, I am not jealous or fearful of SP. I have a brain and good values but I am not a fan. I think for myself and make my own decisions. Just because someone doesn't care for SP, doesn't mean they have no brains and don't have good values. They just don't agree with her.

Values what values? Taking clothes and then saying she could not find them, flying from Texas to Alaska while in labor with her special needs child, all the while trying to hide her pregnancy. Calling her baby "her little retard" Bristol having a baby without being married to Daddy....do I need to go on? Again this is only a few examples and I will wait to hear your response to what Values Sarah brings to the American People. Please do not use honest and intergrity, even some of her fans know she lacks those!

Now this is what's wrong with America today. How about everyone (start)using their own brains and their own voices instead of depending on someone who is only out for their own political and monetary gain? It took Bristol - what - 3-4 days to respond? Hmm, she must have felt a bit out of the limelight. Reporters, shame on you! You know you should be writing about the Palins on a daily basis. Perhaps you could tell us next about the kind of cheese they serve with all their "whines"!

I don't think people are jealous of the Palin's. I certainly see nothing there to be jealous of. I think her joyousness at killing animals is sick, and her values are not what you and others think. Oh well, what will be will be..........but you think things are bad now, just vote her "in" and see how really bad things will be. And Bristol would have been voted off at start of show if it hadn't been for tea party.

WRONG! Sarah palin is NOT a voice for ME, I do my own thinking and make up MY own mind on all matters, I don't need anyone else doing it for me. As for Cho saying what she did about Bristol Palin, considering her life style, she certainly has NO right trashing anyone.
