'Dexter' Kills it for Yet Another Season on Showtime

America's most beloved serial killer will be back for another season, according to the
New York Daily News.
'Dexter' will be back to bring order to the streets of Miami for a sixth season, having garnered rave reviews and high viewer numbers since the show hit the air in 2006.
Showtime President David Nevins said of the show's recent 43 percent increase in viewership, "To grow its audience so significantly in its fifth season is an enormous accomplishment by this amazing cast and crew,"
The show, which stars Michael C. Hall as good-guy serial killer Dexter Morgan, boasted 2.54 million viewers for a single episode last month, making it the show's second highest-watched episode to date.
Hall, who battled Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier this year, is back in killer form, starring alongside real-life wife (and onscreen sister) Jennifer Carpenter.
The actor, who made a name for himself on the HBO drama 'Six Feet Under,' told
PopEater of his role on the Showtime hit, "It's the best gig ... Never do I have more of a skip in my step than on days when we shoot 'Dexter' actually killing someone."
