The Carvel Black Card has become the subject of awe and derision in the media since earlier this year when Lindsay Lohan's card was revoked after her family allegedly abused their free ice cream privileges. The plastic privilege has even made its way into a recent episode of '30 Rock' in which the card is used as a means of scamming the ice cream company out of money.
Despite the card's status as a scandal-maker, there's finally a celebrity who's intent on keeping with the true meaning of the card: ice cream, indulgence and integrity.
According to TMZ, actor/comedian Patton Oswalt has, with the permission of Carvel, put his Black Card up on eBay to be auctioned off. All of the proceeds from the sale of Oswalt's card will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
