Exactly!! She's 18 and it's legal and she's having a great friggin' time. Personally I've never had salvia but I'm wondering if she's psyching herself out or putting on a show for everyone. She took one little hit and she's freaking out! Maybe we missed the other 20 hits that weren't recorded on camera

@laura actually it doesn't take more than one hit of salvia to cause hallucinations. I took one hit from it when i tried it and i was literally in another world. salvia is great and the best part is that while you may feel like you're gone from this world for hours or days, in fact the effects wear off in about five minutes.

The point is not whether it is legal, and the point is not just this one issue. The girl has been spiraling downward a bit with raunchy poses, dances, the bong and other things and this is how it all started for Brittany, so let Miley keep being that way and I wonder what you will say in five years when her reputation is in the same category as Brittany or Lindsay and see then the affects on her then. This is actually quite serious, she is in the public eye, so she needs to be more careful with this type of thing.

Wll, her father seems to have lost control of Miley a long time ago, so to say there is not much he can do about is bull, during the time she turned 15 she began to rebel and do things that were inappropriate for a girl her age, what control did he exercise on her then? Now that she's legal as they put it, I can only imagine what other types of trouble she will be getting into in the near future. Billy ray should have been a real father to her in her earlier years, rather than a show business dad and perhaps she would not be so out of control; he only has himself to blame. After these antics, I would not want my child to watch her show.

Whether she's legal or not, she has a reputation she needs to uphold for the kids that watch her show, it goes beyond the fact that she's legal, it's about her image and the influence it may have on the kids that look up to her and may emulate her negative behavior; it's all about her fans who are kids and may say, if Miley does it I wiil too.

There'd be just as much of a media-frenzy if she were drunk, no doubt, and alcohal is just as legal. Still, I wouldn't enjoy seeing my kid get drunk after a major family upheaval.

Whether the drug is lehal or not dosen't mean it's ok to use it. Does anyone agreeing with her action have any idea what hallucigenics do to your brain? It totally alters your behavior and it can also make you do things you would never in a normal state of mind very bad things at that, and when awakened from the effects, you may not remember what you did. And that's scary and dangerous. I'm not trying to point the finger at her, but i am actually very concered for her because she has a bright career ahead of her and i wouldn't want her to be another child star statistic that ends up making bad mistakes and throws it all away.

sparky Unfortunately, your remark makes way too much sense for the fluttering, do-gooder females that are automatically going to give you a "thumbs down" on it. She grew up way too fast in a show-biz family and her dad let her spread her wings a little too far, but really didn't do a "bad" job. Parents should let their girls know Miley got "too old" to play Hannah anymore, and hopes they will remember the fun they all had together, but now she has to do grown-up stuff. If not for the nosy media, her behavior would be forgotten by teens in no time--and don't forget, her "fans" are growing up too! Miley's having fun acting like a wild child, so if you don't want to follow her adult career, forget her!

@ Chocolate...alcohol ain't legal for 18 year olds anywhere in THIS country I don't think....of course Texas allows parents to provide, but that is another issue. Guam raised the legal age to 21 a while back, and I think it was the last US holdout, so the "media frenzy" might be a little different.
