Billy Ray Cyrus caught wind of Miley Cyrus' bong scandal and turned to his Twitter fans for emotional support."Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," he wrote on Twitter.
A video obtained by TMZ shows the 'Hannah Montana' star taking hits from a bong that was reportedly filled with a natural herb called salvia, which when smoked has psychedelic qualities. Possession of salvia is currently legal in California. The video was reportedly taken five days after Miley turned 18.

I was just thinking the same thing, icdou. This may be legal, but so is alcohol. Kids Miley's age think they can do just about anything and nothing bad will happen to them.
She thinks she's "all grown up" at 18. Well she isn't, and this and a lot of the other silliness she's been involved in lately proves it. Actual grownups don't behave like this. She just may be headed into Lindsay Lohan territory.
I can imagine the sadness that Billy Ray Cyrus must be feeling now. Remember, Billy Ray, the actions of your wife and you can impact your childrens' lives.

No he is a parent who care about his daughter. Billy has been around this business long enough to know what happen to young entertainers and how they can be taken advantage of. This drug may be legal what happens when she step up a notch to cocaine? Then she is going the same path as Lindsay and Brittany. All young people who ended up in the wrong circle. Billy is not a loser dad he is a parent who cares deeply about his child. Don't hate him for giving his for allowing his child the opportunity that presented itself.

Uh, yes she is. Not every teen tries alcohol, tobacco, or a host of other drugs. Some cave to "peer pressure," an argument that I don't really buy. If it's something you don't want to do, then don't do it. But if you decide to participate in the activity, quit blaming others... unless of course, they held an actual gun to your head.
No one is perfect, but I don't remember doing drugs as a teen, but I know people who have, and lot of them never got their stuff together. My cousin has almost died a few times.
